Keo.co.za brings you news from Australia’s Super Rugby franchises.
Tahs without Waugh, Polota-Nau – Waratahs skipper Phil Waugh and hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau will miss their team’s home game against the Cheetahs this weekend.
Waugh will be given time to recover from his bicep injury while Polota-Nau is ruled out with a knee injury. Lock Dean Mumm will captain the team in Waugh’s absence.
Good news for the Waratahs is that No 8 Wycliff Palu will start his first Super Rugby game in 10 months this Saturday.
Rebels’ injury woes continue – After losing Mark Gerrard (shoulder) for a month, loose forwards Gareth Delve and Michael Lipman could now miss the Rebels’ clash with the Reds this weekend.
No 8 Delve and flanker Lipman are struggling with knee injuries and will face late fitness tests later this week. It will be a major blow for the Rebels should the duo be ruled out of the Brisbane clash as they already have a lengthy injury list that includes lock Kevin O’Neill, utility back James Hilgendorf, lock Hoani MacDonald, scrumhalf Sam Cordingley and hooker Adam Freier.
