Baby Boks triumph in Argentina
20 Mar 2011
The Baby Boks picked up a 46-29 win over the Argentina U20s in Santiago del Estero on Saturday.
After a poor start to their tour with a 8-7 defeat to an Argentinean XV, Dawie Theron’s charges delivered a better performance in their second fixture as they scored six tries to seal the victory. Skipper Arno Botha grabbed a brace while centre Bradley Moolman, wing Courtnall Skosan, prop Stephan Kotze and fullback Riaan Britz also dotted down as the Baby Boks overturned a 21-10 half-time deficit. Flyhalf Johan Goosen starred with the boot as he kicked 16 points through five conversions and two penalties.
The Baby Boks will play their final tour game against the Argentina U20s on 24 March before they return home for their final preparations ahead of the Junior World Championship in Italy in June.
