NZ latest – Canes count on Kirkpatrick

Keo.co.za brings you news from New Zealand’s Super Rugby franchises.

Canes count on Kirkpatrick – Daniel Kirkpatrick will start at flyhalf in the Hurricanes’ must-win clash against the Cheetahs.

Kirkpatrick replaces Aaron Cruden, who was injured in the recent loss to the Brumbies. Jayden Hayward has come in for the injured Conrad Smith at No 13. Coach Mark Hammett has also named the 19-year-old flyhalf Beauden Barrett on the bench. If Barrett features in the second half, it will be his first cap for the Hurricanes.

Changes to the pack see James Broadhurst starting at lock and Michael Bent at tighthead prop.

Hurricanes – 15 Andre Taylor, 14 Alapati Leiua, 13 Jayden Hayward, 12 Ma’a Nonu, 11 Hosea Gear, 10 Daniel Kirkpatrick, 9 Tyson Keats, 8 Victor Vito, 7 Serge Lilo, 6 Jack Lam, 5 James Broadhurst, 4 Jeremy Thrush, 3 Michael Bent, 2 Andrew Hore (c), 1 John Schwalger.
Subs: 16 Dane Coles, 17 Neemia Tialata, 18 Jason Eaton, 19 Faifili Levave, 20 Chris Eaton, 21 Beauden Barrett, 22 Charlie Ngatai.

    there seems to be an anomoly in the Keo IT Dept.

    So the posts will edit out the ‘filth’

    and yet you look at the column on the side ‘Recent Comments’ and its printed in full.

    for eg we can see Origami has requested “no h0m0″

    which must mean he has a ball in each camp.

    @Black Panther(Black Panther)-2: Why is that?

    @Black Panther(Black Panther)-5: lol i see that yes. No h o m o is referenced when you say something like “s c r e w you man” or as my example above “bang these pooftahs” to prevent your comments from getting taking out of context. I think it was coined by Lil Wayne or Cam’ron and Juelz Santana from the Dipset crew.

    You must have been born in the 80′s

    Ian ‘Kirky’ Kirkpatrick was a Legend of NZ rugby in 60/70′s, a loose-fwd behemoth carrying similar status to what McCaw does today. He was certainly 1 of my childhood heroes.

    Famous names tend to get selected in NZ teams from an early age, irrespective of their actual skills and contending players. Im guessing young McCaw Jnr wont have any problems turning out for the Roller Mills teams of the future (yes, thats right, any sane AB Legend dreams of settling in Counties).

    yeah, son of an AB Capt, Jock, no less.

    no idea where he went. Not many reputations survive a stint with the Blues tho.
