SACS edged Jeppe for 2011 bragging rights among South Africa’s two oldest schools.
SACS, who a week ago trounced Bellville Tech 70-3, won 14-12.
Jeppe dominated the U14 and U15 matches and came from behind to win 18-16 in the U16s, but could not complete a full house of age group wins in the one that matters most.
The win also gives World Cup winning Springbok fullback Percy Montgomery one over World Cup winning coach Jake White.
Montgomery has a rugby foundation at SACS and White has one at Jeppe, and the fixture was born out of the two World Cup winners association with their respective alma matas.

not sure that Jeppe falls into the category of being South Africa’s two oldest schools with SACS. That would be Wynberg.
