Pienaar scoops top award
9 May 2011
Ruan Pienaar has been named the Magners League’s Players Player of the Year.
Pienaar has excelled in his first season for Ulster, and has been central to their charge into the play-off stage of the league, as well their march to the European Cup quarter-final. The award is coveted among players, given that it is voted on by their peers.
Pienaar will line up against Leinster on Friday evening, but there has been speculation that he could link up with the Stormers for the remainder of the Super Rugby season as soon as his commitments to the Irish side have concluded.
