Tigers topple Saints
14 May 2011
Leicester Tigers beat the Northampton Saints 11-3 to march on to the Premiership final.
Former Springbok prop Brian Mujati had a solid game for the Saints in a tense and sometimes brutal affair. The Tigers led 3-0 lead at half-time through a Toby Flood penalty, and the England flyhalf exchanged penalties with Northampton pivot Stephen Myler thereafter.
Wing Alesana Tuilagi then settled the game with a try with 10 minutes remaining. The Tigers will defend their title against the winner of the Gloucester and Saracens match at Vicarage Road on Sunday. Saracens have named four South Africans in their run on side, as well as Neil de Kock on the bench.

Is this the game where the young Tuialigi brother unleashed a torrent of punches on Chris Ashton. and the touch judge got it horribly wrong? If there’s any justice, the islander’s rugby is over for 2011.
Have your say
