NZ latest – Thrush cited

Keo.co.za brings you news from New Zealand’s Super Rugby franchises.

Thrush cited – Hurricanes lock Jeremy Thrush will face a judiciary hearing next week after being cited for a dangerous charge in the match against the Highlanders on Friday.

Thrush charged Jason Rutledge in the 63rd minute of the match when the hooker was nowhere near the ball. Rutledge needed medical attention soon after, and the citing officer later decided that it was a dangerous and unlawful act.

Thrush’s fate will be decided on Tuesday.

do we have any stats on number of citings and bannings issued so far in the Super season ?

Presumably it will show that Paddy has fixed up the Safas good and proper in a RWC year. Because thats his job, isn’t it ?!
