Keo.co.za brings you news from Austalia’s Super Rugby franchises.
More bad news for Brumbies - Brumbies hooker Huia Edmonds and prop Saleso Ma’afu have been ruled out for the rest of the season.
The Wallaby duo sustained the injuries in the defeat to the Lions on Saturday. Edmonds hurt his ankle and will be sidelined for at least six months , ruling him out of the World Cup. Ma’afu has an injury to his radius (forearm) which is expected to take up to 12 weeks to heal.
Polota-Nau poised for return - Waratahs hooker has recovered from concussion and is expected to start against the Lions on Saturday.
Polota-Nau missed the Waratahs’ 20-15 victory over the Western Force just over a week ago, after taking a heavy head knock, his second of the season.
‘Tatafu Polota-Nau, he’ll be back into that hooking position as well as Damien Fitzpatrick, who’ll come onto the bench as a reserve hooker,’ coach Chris Hickey said.
