He did however tour under PDivvy in 09.

Mujati and Heinke were a killer prop combo for the Lions (at that stage it’s all we had going for us). Wish they’d both come back for the WC squad, but too late now.

@NicG(NicG)-7: All of that and no mention of Heinke - terrible of me. He is a monster of a man and scrummager - he is a specialist 1 though and shouldn't have been messed around. It seems something went sour at the Lions as well as he lost form before leaving our shores. Would be great to see him back in the mix though as he is a bear of a man.

@Nguni Stud(Nguni Stud)-4: Not sure why CJ is being spoken about as an international choice at the moment – he is playing pretty poorly with Brokeback Brok keeping him on his toes.

Our best tighthead at the moment is Jannie (and as a Sharks supporter, he’s not great, but is having his best season to date) with guys like WP Nel in the wings.

Our best scrummaging no 3 was BJ Botha by a long way, but he wasn’t dynamic in the loose. Mujati has been playing very well recently and it was only all the off-field stuff and mis-management that meant he dropped off so badly before leaving our shores (but politicians will keep him away from the Boks).

On the other side of the scrum, Beast is a shoe-in with Guthro a serious injury concern any time he gets onto the field (CJ by the way is a better option at 1 as he doesn’t have the grunt required by a quality 3 and can get away with being taller at 1).

As willievz said – combos are all important and a pair of storng aggro locks doesn’t hurt either…

Good player, Heinke – seems mad that SARU let him leave just as he was developing so nicely.

Leinster have got 2 goodins there, Cian Healy will go on to be one of THE premier props in the World and could be a star at RWC’11. Healy and O.Franks’enstein are the best young THs in the World at present, sensational players.

@Nguni Stud(Nguni Stud)-4: Scrummaging is something I know very little about. Having said that, from what I've seen of Heinke, he might be the strongest scrummaging loosehead I've seen bar Christo Bezuidenhout. However, I do think that combinations come scrumtime is particularly important - the Beast/Bismarck/Jannie combo impressed me a great deal on the EOYT 2010. But the days of picking front rowers merely on their scrummaging ability are long gone.

I think Jake played him tight head against Wales, i’m not sure but i think he stuffed it up early on. Pieter is not helping either. Good that Heinke is comfortable in his own game. I’m sure Heinke and Brian can come in for Guthro and CJ during the extended Tri Nations.

There’s a lot of rugby to be played so picking these players should not be a difficult thing.

We sure do need cover at tighthead anyway. CJ and the Doc? I don’t think they will have what it takes during the world cup. Pity that Heinke and Brian are inexperienced at test level.

Would be a pity if we promoted our super rugby props instead of these two.
