Maritzburg proved why they are the top KZN school side this season with a 25-13 victory over Westville.

Maritzburg are ranked above Westville, despite the latter showing a more impressive record this season ahead of the match. However, Maritzburg delivered a strong performance against their KZN rivals.

In other results, Hilton were whitewashed 47-0 at KES while Kearsney picked up a big 29-20 win at St Stithians. Northwood recorded the upset of the weekend with a 9-8 win over Glenwood.
