Ruan Pienaar and Joe van Niekerk will start for the Barbarians in their match against England at Twickenham on Sunday.
Pienaar will slot in at his preferred position of scrumhalf while Van Niekerk was selected at blindside flank to accommodate Italy skipper Sergio Parisse at No 8. With the former Wallabies opensider, the trio form a formidable loose forward combination.
South African-born Italy international lock Quintin Geldenhuys has been named on the bench, along with Toulon league convert Willie Mason.
