Victories for Cape big boys

Paarl Boys’, Paarl Gym, Paul Roos and Bishops all picked up good wins over the weekend.
In the Schoolboy Derby feature match of the weekend, Rondebosch were blitzed 48-11 by Boishaai at home. The hosts entertained in the opening minutes as they took the lead early in the first half and held on for a 11-10 advantage at the break. But Paarl Boys’, who boast six WP Craven Week players this year, were too strong in the second stanza as they scored 38 unanswered points for an emphatic victory.
Bishops continued their strong run with a 36-24 triumph over Boland Landbou. Paarl Gym and Paul Roos, who are enduring poor campaigns, recorded much-needed wins as they beat Wynberg Boys’ 31-22 and SACS 22-10 respectively.
Oakdale won the big Southern Cape derby against Outeniqua 23-13.
