Sanzar extends half-time break
11 Jun 2011
The half-time break in the Tri-Nations has been extended from 10 to 12 minutes.
The change has been made to assist the All Blacks, Springboks and Wallabies in adjusting to a longer half-time break before the World Cup in September. The IRB confirmed on Friday that the half-time length at the tournament would be increased to 12 minutes.
The Tri-Nations starts on 23 July with the Boks playing the Wallabies in Sydney.

120 seconds more advertising time. That’s all.

Greedy ********. Thats 4 extra adds squeezed in, none of which I will see, thankfully, as I already hate halftime so much that I step outside or go cruising the internet until play starts again.

It gives them more time to interview a player when they run off for halftime and adds. It start feeling like an American game. They copy everything. I am glad for the players’s sake.

Eh. Can’t complain about an extra 2 minutes. The players get some more time with the docs and physios and SANZAR makes another half a bar in advertising income.
At least we aren’t going full ****** like they do in the US where they actually stop NFL games for advertising breaks.

They also stop the Ice Hockey for advertising, greedy a-holes make the sport unenjoyable! Please Rugby do not go this way, I will bail out!
