World Cup latest – French Baa Baas edge Pumas

French Baa Baas edge Pumas – The French Barbarians outplayed Argentina to win 21-18 on Saturday and square the two match series 1-1.

The Pumas had won last week’s clash 23-19, and 12 changes to their side obviously upset their synergy. The series was always going to be used to experiment with a large squad ahead of this year’s World Cup, and so in many ways the scoreline was irrelevant.

While they were overpowered by the French Baa Baas up front, the kicking performance of flyhalf Nicolas Sanchez was a highlight. Sanchez kicked six out of six but it wasn’t enough to win the match.
