Yep Keo – couldn’t agree more. Bit tough on Peter Grant but so is life. Morne a bit one dimensional but with a very educated boot. Butch and Lambie offer versatility which will be needed.

Butchie for the world cup. Lambie to take over post world cup. Steyn to develop a running game.

@Jibber-Jabber(Jibber-Jabber)-1: Peter Grant!!!? On what farking basis?

I would start Butch and take Peter Grant for bench duty… Pat Lambie can go and cover 10 12 & 15 but I would have Lambie as bok no.10 post 2011 with Sias Ebersohn and Elton Jantjes, Gary Van Aswegen & Lionel Cronje the back ups….

@Jibber-Jabber(Jibber-Jabber)-1: Peter Grant will absolutely, without a doubt, be absolutely of no use at the WC. Agree with Keo, Steyn, Butch, Lambie. Before I take Grant, I’ll take Janjies, Ebersohn, van Asweging, and Cronje.

Quade Cooper, Berrick Barnes (if fit), Matt Giteau.
    Also pretty frakken impressive trio.

And let’s not forget the Wallabies have James O Connor too.
    And Kurtley Beale.

I think SA is disillusioned at 10. We have Butch who can run a game quite frankly and very well. However in Morne Steyn you have a points machine and in lambie you have a bit of both but I could see lambie playing 15 in the future as i believe Janjties will prove to be better suited in time. Butch as great as butch is, will lose the world cup for SA with a series of missed penalties. He cannot kick at goals. Morne Steyn is ugly player but gets the job done and his accuracy is the best in world rugby. lambie has not perfected his kicking yet, but will be good in years to come.

I say pick: Morne Steyn, Peter Grant and Butch James. 3 experienced flyhalfs. lambie is good, but he is not setting the world on fire like O’Connor or Australia, Kurtly Beale or Quade Coop[er. All relatively new and are setting the world on fire. Experience is the key Bokkes!!

Why on earth would we take Peter Grant to NZ? Before the S15 started, a bunch of you were talking him up based on… I dunno, tarot cards? Anyway, almost the whole competition later he’s done absolutely buggerall to send a signal to Div. So why some of you are still punting him for WC honours is a little puzzling.

@>^..^< katman(katman)-11: At last someone that agrees with me. I have no clue why some can even consider him when we have the likes of Lambie, Jantjies, Ebersohn, van Asweging, and Cronje waiting in the wings. That is as back-up to Steyn and Butch.

I would take just 2 flyhalves to the World Cup.

    M.Steyn and Butch James

Pienaar will be my thrid choice scrumhalf and third choice flyhalf as well.

I don’t agree. I suspect PDV will only take Steyn and Butch. He will probably take Du Preez and Hougaard as his no9s, thus Ruan will be backup for 9, 10 and 15.

Thus, I doubt there will be place for Lambie. Nor should there be. No 10 isn’t exactly the position we have the most chronic injury problems at.

@Bouts(Bouts)-17: Ja hey! That makes the most sense in terms of what to expect from PDV and what we as supporters expect.

Everyone of you who meantion that Gary van Aswegien kid on the same sentence with relation to becoming a springbok are all on crack or you are all gingers! Not in 10 yrs is he gna b ready to wear the green and gold, the future for flyhalf in our country after the world cup lie in lambie, ebherson, cronje and janties, those kids will dominate the fight for 10 after this WC, but for this world cup we need butch and steyn, lambie as back up, not pienaar, everyone should know that him at 10 won’t work again
