Duane Vermeulen is out of the June Tests. Stormers strong man Duane Vermeulen returned home from the Stormers Super Rugby tour because of injury and conservatively won't play again until July. It could be that he is out for the remainder of the Super Rugby season as well because of knee ligament damage. Stormers loose-forward Rynhardt Elstadt is also out for at least six weeks as the Cape-based franchise's season went from bad to worse in Sydney. Vermeulen, Meyer's first choice No 8, will be nursed back to action for the Rugby Championship in August. His injury means a likely Bok start ... Read Article19 May 2013
GREGOR PAUL, in the Herald on Sunday, writes world rugby will get its integrated season after the 2015 World Cup and Super Rugby won't break to accommodate an international window. Super Rugby will shift to a March start and won't break for test matches, the June window will be shifted to July and all players will have a 14 to 16-week off-season. Other innovative plans are being discussed, such as building a world series of tests in years that fall between the World Cup and British Lions tours. The revolution that All Black coach Steve Hansen called for last week is coming. The players ... Read Article25 Apr 2013
Jan Serfontein, the player of last year's under 20 World Championship, will head the baby Boks defence in France. Serfontein and Kings wing Sergeal Petersen are two Super Rugby regulars to make Dawie Theron's squad and brilliant flyhalf Handre Pollard is another to play in a second successive tournament. Theron's squad lost a three-match series 2-1 to Argentina in Argentina. Serfontein, Petersen and Western Province's Cheslin Kolbe did not play in those matches. Bulls loose forward Ruan Steenkamp is captain. Serfontein and Pollard are the only two squad members from last year's ... Read Article14 May 2013
All Blacks coach Steve Hansen has selected several uncapped Blues players in his training group. Hansen confirmed 38 names and this included many from the potent Blues backline. The Highlanders, despite only winning one match in this year's Super Rugby competition, have six players in the group. An obvious area of weakness is at hooker where Hansen has selected veterans Andrew Hore and Keven Mealamu and Canes Dane Coles. Options are limited and it certainly is a concern for New Zealanders. No overseas-based players were considered, as it is NZRFU policy. Among the uncapped players ... Read Article15 May 2013
French coach Philipe Saint-Andre has included three South African-born players for the three-Test series against the All Blacks in New Zealand. Racing Metro flank Bernard le Roux and Clermont prop Daniel Kotze join Antonie Claassen in a squad that includes eight new caps. Fijian-born Clermont winger Noa Nakaitaci is among the newcomers. Saint-Andre has rested flyhalf Francois Trinh-Duc, but included Toulon's Frederic Michalak. France play world champions New Zealand on June 8, 15 and 22 in Auckland, Hamilton and New Plymouth respectively. French super club Toulon's foreign dominance ... Read Article5 Mar 2013
MARK KEOHANE writes the Varsity Cup in its first year rocked. Since then it's just another professional tournament. The Varsity Cup may have the innovation of doing a few things differently, but what was supposed to be a celebration of student rugby somehow just seems like another tournament, in which the traditional power houses remain the traditional strengths in the tournament. Much has been made of the Port Elizabeth-based Nelson Mandela University display this season and equally there has been bewilderment at how poor Shimlas have been. But it seems the old one two of Stellenbosch University ... Read Article12 May 2013
Marcus Watson scored in extra time to beat the Blitzbokke in the London World Series Sevens Cup quarter-finals. The teams were level 14-all at full time. Watson's try came four minutes into extra time. England won 19-14. England had the chance to win the match with the last play of the game in normal time. They were awarded a penalty and opted to take a drop kick for goal. It missed. Watson then rounded off a move after England had retained possession for two minutes. South Africa suffered further embarrassment when they lost for a second time in the tournament to the USA and were eliminated ... Read Article8 Jan 2013
Limpopo will play in the Vodacom Cup as a separate side for the first time this year. The region, which is a sub-union of the Blue Bulls Rugby Union, has been granted a place in the tournament in its own rights to help foster rugby in South Africa’s far north. They join the 14 provincial unions as well as the returning Pampas XV from Argentina in the tournament, which kicks off in the second week of March and concludes in mid-May. The Polokwane-based Limpopo team will play in the North Section of the competition, along with the Blue Bulls, Golden Lions, Griffons, Leopards, Pumas, Valke ... Read Article30 Jun 2011

“Marshall World of Sport supports Responsible Gambling. Winners know when to stop”.
Yeah Right.
30 Jun 2011, 13:02 pm
Keo , thats vid is loaded with racial **** , u should be ashamed of yourself !! Telling the colored man who to support , eff u !! I almost wanna support the saders now !! Just who the eff are you and that Ryan **** to tell anyone who to support ?
Ryan , Catch a wake up , the last stormers – saders game ,2 of my friends were assaulted by a narrow minded Afrikaaner who said to them “julle mense moet daar gaan sit” pointing to the old Malay section. He then wanted to get aggro but he did not know that myself and my other friend who were both wearing stormers jersey’s was with the saders fans as friends !!
We banter , they support the saders we the stormers , we DONT spit , get vulgar etc etc , dont generalize !!
PS – u guys look like stupid , sorry stick to writing…….well okay maybe not that also but jaa !!!
30 Jun 2011, 13:06 pm
Oh I forgot to add , just becos one Afrikaaner did that does not mean all Afrikaaners are like that , SA vs ABS 2 years ago , I was behind the poles and this huge Afrikaaner hugged me while we belted out the anthem , one of the times I truley felt like a SA and Bok fan !! Will stay with me for years how much this former hated person of mine now stood hands around me with tears in his eyes shouting for a mutli racial Bok team !! FFS I should not even think of them as Afrikaaners to be honest , we are ALL South Africans and may I remind you people bled and died so that all of us can have the right to choose and not have the right to choose what you want !!
FFS , u guys are the ****** pits !

@sparticus(sparticus)-104:
Perhaps we should have Sparticus TV.
Good stuff.
30 Jun 2011, 13:11 pm
@sparticus(sparticus)-101: comment #100 by “Reegs” has just proven how right I was, and how wrong you are.
Stormersaders mos sommer pack their goed and trek to NZ, if they like it and the people so much. Sies.
30 Jun 2011, 13:37 pm
Keohane and Verde, you guys are an embarassment.
What a sanctimonious, arrogant, rascist diatribe!
How dare you make this game a racial issue on behalf of the Crusaders “they’re WHITE boys from the South of NZ playing against us multicultural…”. “I hate you capecrusaders…you need to…”
I’m not suprised you still have issues over there if you go ordering brown people round like that all the time, but don’t drag us kiwis into it.
The Crusaders don’t know whether the skin is brown or white or various shades in between in their team, it is irrelevant – they are coming to beat the Stormers at rugby that’s all. It is a game.
Our nation has been dragged into your racist messes before through sport and it does not need to happen again so leave us out of it.
30 Jun 2011, 13:41 pm
@Sparticus-103: Your 1st paragraph sums it up brilliantly. This is not just an attack on the Saders fans, but on coloureds in general. Not the 1st time he’s done so! This is how he wants do sell his stories … effing prick!
30 Jun 2011, 13:44 pm
@cane(cane)-102:
lol, yeah what a classic.
amazing what bullshit gets spewed to make a buck in advertising.
30 Jun 2011, 13:45 pm
A driver is stuck in a traffic jam in Cape Town.
Suddenly, a man knocks on the car window.
The driver rolls down his window and asks. ‘What’s going on?’
‘Terrorists down the road have kidnapped Keo, Ryan and JC.
They’re asking for a 10 million rand, ransom otherwise they’re going to douse them with petrol and set them on fire.
We’re going from car to car, taking up a collection.’
The driver asks. ‘How much is everyone giving, on average?’
‘Most people are giving about five litres.’
30 Jun 2011, 13:47 pm
@wooden spoon(wooden spoon)-106: Guy , there is not right and wrong. My point is so what ?? You generalizing again , my friends support ABS , FFS my brother and dad sometimes support the ABS. Must they also leave ? They dont go around abusing people to justify their love of the ABS.
U know just try and put the boot on the other foot , imagine 30 years from now for whatever reason someone tells u to support the ABS cos its the correct thing to do , maybe for instance say the ABS are made up of second generation South African expats and the Boks are made up of 80% Zulu’s or whatever !! !! Now I know its stupid but the point is just as passionate you are about the Boks so are they about their team for whatever reason !!
Sorry but I don’t see why firstly it has anything to do with anyone who supports who and secondly I hate this generalizing k@k and painting these ABS supporters with a tainted brush !! I have seen worse Stormers/WP/Bok supporters than these guys , they just here to support their team. WE should let go and focus on our team !!
30 Jun 2011, 13:48 pm
@cane(cane)-105: LOL nah Cane , I’ve been told I have a face for radio !!
30 Jun 2011, 13:49 pm
apparently its a plea from keo’s heart, not his arse.
30 Jun 2011, 13:49 pm
This wasn’t an attack on coloureds it was an attack on all right thinking Saffa’s! Keo behaving like a badass punk made me cringe with embarrassment.
I just hope that all the overseas bloggers realise that the vast majority of saffa rugby fans have tons more class than those two.
Just when you think that things have moved on 2 immature jerks figure out how to work a camera and an internet link.
******* imbeciles!
30 Jun 2011, 13:52 pm
i thought it was quite funny, nice shell suit too.
Ricane seems to have blown a gasket.

@Bokfan23(Bokfan23)-96:

30 Jun 2011, 14:03 pm
lol this just reminded me of an altercation Ryan had with family friends mine a few years back. I think it started on Facebook and then it went to them personally phoning each other and dissing the **** out of one another. lol funny stuff.
30 Jun 2011, 14:10 pm
@cab(cab)-120:
We’re living out in the sticks now, with satelite broadband and lots of farm jobs to do so going on here isn’t so easy these days.
No, I don’t think the Crusaders are a done deal at all. I was very suprised to see the TAB tag them favourites.
I think the Saders will win if they can move the ball wide and get those big stormers tired and basically play like they did against the Sharks.
The stormers will win if they tackle hard and fast and keep it in the forwards, and do it for 80 minutes.
What is the weather forecast like over there? That will play a part too.
30 Jun 2011, 14:13 pm
@ricane(ricane)-123:
Out in the stiks……………………………………………………..Pauatahanui.
30 Jun 2011, 14:21 pm
Concerning Keo TV.
I think Grant10 should be invited to the Keo Studios (the men’s room in the basement of Keo HQ), to espouse the talents of Lard-arse Smit.
He (grant10) has through consistency and dedication earned this honour.
30 Jun 2011, 14:23 pm
@cane(cane)-124:

How did you know?
30 Jun 2011, 14:23 pm
@cane(cane)-125:

@schalk brits has got more x-factor than os(Transformation)-132:
Ryan also known as Reeza?
30 Jun 2011, 15:09 pm
Ryan, since you a cullart – How does Keo’s racism affects you everyday?
Or are you 1 of those Banana types?
30 Jun 2011, 15:12 pm
Unfortunately that piece of unintentional reverse psychology on that video will cause them to be more raucous and turn out in more numbers if any of them view it…
30 Jun 2011, 15:20 pm
Cane, Sparticus and co…great posts…
I like the clip for pure entertainment value. True it makes keo look a little vulnerable to his own racial prejudices but aren’t we all? Maybe I’m too accommodating but he didn’t come across bigoted…just saying what he feels.
Maybe he’s spot on for some Stormsaders though, but not all I’m sure. It’s as if as a proud white south african he feels somehow personally attacked by these foreign allegiances. I almost feel for the guy;)
What I liked about it is he was giving it from his perspective. It’s not the angle I’d have chosen for Keo TV this week… there are so many other juicy things to talk about…but I thought it was pretty fun. Totally ridiculous, but fun.
For some other laughs have a look at the clip on rugby heaven of SBW and Nonu having a giggle about dry cleaning the new all black jersey…awesome…
30 Jun 2011, 15:24 pm
@Mighty Horua(Mighty Horua)-136: That a good question, i would say he should feel rather aggrieved and “raped” as keo and his gang of idiots would put it! Hehehe!
Keo you effen d o o s! Has anyone noticed that keo looks like a *** beach bunny on these vids! At first glance one would think a guy looking like that would know more about kinky *** wips or whatever they are called than rugby! Hehehehe!
30 Jun 2011, 15:30 pm
Keo for president of White rugby federation, fighting for justice rigetheousness and “equality”, to preserve a country where the white ego-sensitive racist g a y males like yourself can roam freely and oppresses cullerts without inhibition! Viva keo you have my vote, if racial propoganda is your last name, Malema-ness is your mind game! P O E P H O L !
Hehehehe!
30 Jun 2011, 15:30 pm
@Bokfan23(Bokfan23)-134:

30 Jun 2011, 15:38 pm
Keo, your hatred for the Cullart is sickening.
The majority of them Brownies are indeed Stormers supporters. However, your article and thoughts are truely reflective of your ingrained hatred for the Lazy, tik users and pap sak suipers.

lol,mullets and v tecs, this was really good.
30 Jun 2011, 17:08 pm
You think you have it bad with the Cape Coloured living in the past, try living in NZ. We are stuck with all the racist white South Africans from the apartheid era who couldnt stand having a black president so had to leave South Africa and come here. They still wave their old flags, they must be horrified by all the Maori and Polynesian people in NZ though so I think they will be moving on to a “whiter” country soon
