Free State and the Lions will meet in this year’s U18 Craven Week unofficial final in Kimberley on Saturday.

Other big games on day five see the Pumas take on WP and the Blue Bulls face KZN.

    Free State are always very good at Craven Week because their team has WAY more synergy. Other big unions have a number of feeder schools whereas FS have Grey and that’s pretty much it.

    There is thus a common misconception that FS produce more good players than other unions. So yes, their team should because of the cohesiveness, not necessarily because they are better players.

    KZN was was robbed in final 4 minutes of the game against the Lions, 2 huge forward passes within minutes after each other, very blatant, but ref was to busy huffing and puffing trying to keep up with the game.
