Aussie latest – Cooper concern for Wallabies

Keo.co.za brings you news from the Wallabies camp.

Cooper concern for Wallabies – Quade Cooper missed the Wallabies training on Friday because of illness.

After being rested against Samoa last weekend, the Reds flyhalf is struggling with a stomach illness that ruled him out of training. However, Wallabies skipper Rocky Elsom told reporters that Cooper should be ready for the Tri-Nations opener against the Springboks in Sydney on Saturday.

‘If he’s not feeling that well, it’s probably a good move not to train but I think he’ll be fine tomorrow,’ Elsom said.

Kurtley Beale was seen running at 10 during Friday’s practice, and will be expected to takeover at flyhalf if Cooper is a late withdrawal. This could also see Matt Giteau returning to the Wallabies’ match 22.

    @grant10(grant10)-2:

    Report on KFM news suggests the game might be called off due to the field being water-logged.

    Guess we’d share the points then — great result B Bokke!

    this is looking even better for us now, unless they’re playing our ‘mindgames’ kinda games. giteau i think will just kuk it up for them. its about headspace and form, and sometimes you just cant play your way out of that sshit phenomenon. its like a ‘perfect wave of sshit form’ hitting you off your stride for a while and theres nothing in the world you can do when a perfect wave of sshit hits you. just ask brian. great player, very, very great player still young enough to rock it but cannot for how long now?

    ‘perfect wave of sshit form’ its a thing…

    Would be a pity if the game is called off. We need game time. Especially to see what our 2nd stringers can do.
