Paarl get Southern Cape test

Boishaai and Gimmies will face Outeniqua and Oakdale respectively in two major schoolboy derbies this weekend.
These fixtures will be vital for the boys from Paarl, who have experienced contrasting fortunes this year. Paarl Boys’ are the top Western Cape team this season while Paarl Gym, who are normally as successful as their neighbours on the national school circuit, have suffered disappointing 2011 campaign with six defeats from 14 games.
Both teams will be vying for victories as it will be important in the context of their season. But it won’t be easy as both Outenqiua and Oakdale have achieved impressive wins.
Other big games see Bishops host a faltering Paul Roos outfit while there’s a local northern suburb derby between Bellville HTS and Bellville High.
Tygerberg will also be hosting a touring Ireland school, Campbell College.
