Selborne, Queen’s set to cruise in EC circuit

Selborne and Queen’s have easy fixtures scheduled this weekend as they face Hudson Park and Port Rex respectively.

Top-rated Eastern Cape side Selborne lost their unbeaten record to Boland Landou at the Cape Schools Rugby Festival last month. While their 2011 record is still impressive, they’ll want to get over the disappointment with a convincing win this weekend. This will be achievable as they face East London minnows Hudson Park at home.

Queen’s will also contest in what should be a one-sided contest when they tackle Port Rex. Other fixtures see Grey High take on the inconsistent, yet challenging Daniel Pienaar while St Andrew’s tackle Marlow.

    It is the Border circuit and I would hardly call Hudson Park and Port Rex pushovers, though Selborne and Queens will be favourites to win.
