Fiji tame Tonga – Seremaia Bai kicked 12 points as Fiji beat Tonga 27-12 in a World Cup warm-up match on Saturday.
The Fijians struggled in this year’s Pacific Nations Cup, and where thrashed 60-14 by the All Blacks last month. But with a host of stars back in action, they were too strong for Tonga on this occasion.
Fiji scored three tries in the first 40 minutes and had they not allowed Tonga back into the contest in the second half they may have scored more.
The two island nations will face off in another warm-up game in the build up to the global tournament in New Zealand.

Poor Bokkies have to face them and Samoa in RWC. We need body armor (sp).

Notice that the IRB always puts these things in the Bok’s pool hoping for injuries on our star players. The 1/4 final against fiji still remains one of the worst performances by a ref. The number of shoulder charges, high tackles, skew throw ins and ruck infringements was a complete joke, especially considering the number of people around the world who were watching (including 5 brave kiwis with tears in their eyes who were cheering on little brother to stop us from winning our glorious 2nd WC) lol, pathetic.
