Wallabies latest – Deans extends stay

Keo.co.za brings you news from the Wallabies camp.

Deans extends stay – Robbie Deans has signed a two-year contract extension, which will see him coach the Wallabies until 2013 at least.

It was always expected that the former Crusaders head coach would stay for the 2013 British and Irish Lions tour to Australia, and the ARU confirmed Deans’ new deal on Tuesday.

‘I’m pleased to have gained the backing of the board,’ said Deans. ‘A large number of players have re-committed to Australian Rugby this year, I’m pleased to be joining them.’
