Duane Vermeulen is out of the June Tests. Stormers strong man Duane Vermeulen returned home from the Stormers Super Rugby tour because of injury and conservatively won't play again until July. It could be that he is out for the remainder of the Super Rugby season as well because of knee ligament damage. Stormers loose-forward Rynhardt Elstadt is also out for at least six weeks as the Cape-based franchise's season went from bad to worse in Sydney. Vermeulen, Meyer's first choice No 8, will be nursed back to action for the Rugby Championship in August. His injury means a likely Bok start ... Read Article19 May 2013
GREGOR PAUL, in the Herald on Sunday, writes world rugby will get its integrated season after the 2015 World Cup and Super Rugby won't break to accommodate an international window. Super Rugby will shift to a March start and won't break for test matches, the June window will be shifted to July and all players will have a 14 to 16-week off-season. Other innovative plans are being discussed, such as building a world series of tests in years that fall between the World Cup and British Lions tours. The revolution that All Black coach Steve Hansen called for last week is coming. The players ... Read Article25 Apr 2013
Jan Serfontein, the player of last year's under 20 World Championship, will head the baby Boks defence in France. Serfontein and Kings wing Sergeal Petersen are two Super Rugby regulars to make Dawie Theron's squad and brilliant flyhalf Handre Pollard is another to play in a second successive tournament. Theron's squad lost a three-match series 2-1 to Argentina in Argentina. Serfontein, Petersen and Western Province's Cheslin Kolbe did not play in those matches. Bulls loose forward Ruan Steenkamp is captain. Serfontein and Pollard are the only two squad members from last year's ... Read Article14 May 2013
All Blacks coach Steve Hansen has selected several uncapped Blues players in his training group. Hansen confirmed 38 names and this included many from the potent Blues backline. The Highlanders, despite only winning one match in this year's Super Rugby competition, have six players in the group. An obvious area of weakness is at hooker where Hansen has selected veterans Andrew Hore and Keven Mealamu and Canes Dane Coles. Options are limited and it certainly is a concern for New Zealanders. No overseas-based players were considered, as it is NZRFU policy. Among the uncapped players ... Read Article15 May 2013
French coach Philipe Saint-Andre has included three South African-born players for the three-Test series against the All Blacks in New Zealand. Racing Metro flank Bernard le Roux and Clermont prop Daniel Kotze join Antonie Claassen in a squad that includes eight new caps. Fijian-born Clermont winger Noa Nakaitaci is among the newcomers. Saint-Andre has rested flyhalf Francois Trinh-Duc, but included Toulon's Frederic Michalak. France play world champions New Zealand on June 8, 15 and 22 in Auckland, Hamilton and New Plymouth respectively. French super club Toulon's foreign dominance ... Read Article5 Mar 2013
MARK KEOHANE writes the Varsity Cup in its first year rocked. Since then it's just another professional tournament. The Varsity Cup may have the innovation of doing a few things differently, but what was supposed to be a celebration of student rugby somehow just seems like another tournament, in which the traditional power houses remain the traditional strengths in the tournament. Much has been made of the Port Elizabeth-based Nelson Mandela University display this season and equally there has been bewilderment at how poor Shimlas have been. But it seems the old one two of Stellenbosch University ... Read Article12 May 2013
Marcus Watson scored in extra time to beat the Blitzbokke in the London World Series Sevens Cup quarter-finals. The teams were level 14-all at full time. Watson's try came four minutes into extra time. England won 19-14. England had the chance to win the match with the last play of the game in normal time. They were awarded a penalty and opted to take a drop kick for goal. It missed. Watson then rounded off a move after England had retained possession for two minutes. South Africa suffered further embarrassment when they lost for a second time in the tournament to the USA and were eliminated ... Read Article8 Jan 2013
Limpopo will play in the Vodacom Cup as a separate side for the first time this year. The region, which is a sub-union of the Blue Bulls Rugby Union, has been granted a place in the tournament in its own rights to help foster rugby in South Africa’s far north. They join the 14 provincial unions as well as the returning Pampas XV from Argentina in the tournament, which kicks off in the second week of March and concludes in mid-May. The Polokwane-based Limpopo team will play in the North Section of the competition, along with the Blue Bulls, Golden Lions, Griffons, Leopards, Pumas, Valke ... Read Article17 Aug 2011

@stormersboy(stormersboy)-345:
you been in the free weights section again?
wid da big dawgs.
17 Aug 2011, 15:28 pm
@ET.(ET.)-350:
Take a chill pill, fella
You seem like an angry little man, probably dominated by a strong female personality. Find other ways of expressing your obvious contempt for our team, maybe try self flaggelation…
17 Aug 2011, 15:34 pm
@ET.(ET.)-350: You seriously need to learn how to write properly. Enough of these wanky multi-part sentences with interjections and brackets, because you get lost up your own arse without fail. Keep it simple – like you – and you won’t go wrong. At the very least, pay some attention to the use of spaces after words and punctuation. Pretty please. It’s a fcking mess.

@LightZone(LightZone)-330:
yes, but i’m saying you could make a reasonable assumption as to the intelligence of both…no?,,,
on the basis of all thats gone before us why would it be not be?
lets play hypotheticals…
their similarly shared experiences as bok coaches would in a way suffice as a standardised iq test, which both would have then been submitted to, ja?
and their test scores would be ranked according to their answers, insights and influence in getting their teams to this same point in preperation and readiness before and also during a world cup (but only at different places in time).
bearing in mind that pdv is cribbing a litttle by not fully ‘running his own exam’ we could still score them individually on their tests. i would place jw on a higher score by this point and, further, bet that this would hold all the way through till the end of the world cup.
in short i’m saying i dont believe he is as intelligent as jw or a lot of other rugby coaches in the country (and in this case, it is because of reasons of rugby and not on other – or colour for that matter). he a great man manager yes, and has a charismatic type thing going for him but thats it.

@Helen(Helen)-352:
Even though the word anger appears there it and every other notion intimated reflects NO anger.
The result thus is you are totally wrong in every little point you merely attempt to make.
Surely then, you cannot even begin to be thought of as being the One of Troy.
Dismissed!
17 Aug 2011, 15:37 pm
ET, go home
17 Aug 2011, 15:40 pm
@ET.(ET.)-355:
Just when everyone was starting to enjoy themselves……………………………………………….YOU SHOW UP.
17 Aug 2011, 15:42 pm
@ET.(ET.)-350:
FAIL.
17 Aug 2011, 15:43 pm
@ET.(ET.)-355:
Dude, who tought you how to construct setences in English?
You seem to want to use BIG words and concepts, but like the Kat says, you end up getting knotted in your own words.
Just speak like a human being.
17 Aug 2011, 15:44 pm
@Gunther(gunther)-358: Yes, you’re right, BIG FAIL!!!
Don’t you have some errends to run for your wife before she gets home?
17 Aug 2011, 15:44 pm
@Helen(Helen)-356:
Defeated and already dismissed.
17 Aug 2011, 15:45 pm
@cane(cane)-357:
Indeed.
It’s like the creepy uncle that shows up at every family gathering and then proceeds to get shitfaced and grope the servants.
17 Aug 2011, 15:45 pm
@LightZone(LightZone)-344:
funny a lot of the rumours around pdv winning that wc, and this supposedly from players, assistants, technicals, admin, people around him and other so involved was that the under21 kids won that wc in spite of pdv and not really because of him.
the guys got good charisma and man management skills and that about it. in this regard he is in fact very similar to ian mcgheechan in my opinion.
17 Aug 2011, 15:47 pm
@ET.(ET.)-361:
Again, no sense…
Thanks for making us all feel better about ourselves, much like a hobo seeing a hungry, 2 legged, homeless dog.
17 Aug 2011, 15:48 pm
@we have it on good authority that on september 11, a legend will rise…(i_love_u_bakkiesbotha)-354: Anyway. I have no interest invested in either JW or PDV intelligence. It helps us nothing to prove who is more intelligent. What matters at this juncture is whether we get the William Webb Ellis trophy for a third time and in that way having successfully defended the right to be called World Cup holders or World Champions, whichever way you (pl) care to lean. IQ testing falls within a specific scientific discipline and I am certainly not qualified to do that. My expertise resides in other areas.
I know that Adolf Hitler was a great orator and he had a high level of intelligence and see where that got us. Intelligence in itself – like many other things – is not a precursor to greatness. I would much more go with someone who can use their experience and those of others to further enlighten.
17 Aug 2011, 15:48 pm
@Helen(Helen)-359: Sshhh… ET is a visionary. He sees messages in the water after his own bowel movements and simply channels them to us mortals. It’s like tealeaves meets burning bush, but with an odour.
17 Aug 2011, 15:48 pm
@Helen(Helen)-359:
Now you sound like an old , well-known Hag as you cannot counter every truth of 350.
Your minnions gather around you now like flies around your horse’s a r s e .
17 Aug 2011, 15:48 pm
@Gunther(gunther)-362:
Hey I’m that Uncle Gunna.
And Dolores loves it.
17 Aug 2011, 15:51 pm
@Helen(Helen)-360:
moi?
17 Aug 2011, 15:52 pm
@we have it on good authority that on september 11, a legend will rise…(i_love_u_bakkiesbotha)-363: So then maybe that is the kind of coach we need? Maybe that was why he was appointed? Charisma and man management skills? That surely is not purely rugby reasons? Why would you then feel the need to paint PDV as a man with low or no intelligence?
17 Aug 2011, 15:52 pm
@cane(cane)-368:
at NZ$ 50/ hour so she should.
17 Aug 2011, 15:52 pm
@ET.(ET.)-367:
Ok, so we should stop talking about rugby, stop supporting the Boks and never believe they can win or improve? lest we have ‘copious tears’ (sic)
17 Aug 2011, 15:53 pm
@ET.(ET.)-367: ‘
Come on ET.
You are better than that, surely.
We should all be encouraging Feminine participation here on Keo.
We need more Dawn’s, Lilly’s, Carol’s…..etc.
17 Aug 2011, 15:54 pm
@Helen(Helen)-364:
So with your lack of understanding just four words you must be of the small ‘brain’ types that abound here. Much like the ones around your copious a r s e.
How thoroughly boring.
17 Aug 2011, 15:54 pm
@Gunther(gunther)-369: Sorry, meant for ET.
17 Aug 2011, 15:56 pm
@Helen(Helen)-375:
But you are right.
I do have to pick up her dry cleaning on the way home.
Otherwise I will be sleeping with the fishes.
ExTraball better not have used too much starch.
17 Aug 2011, 15:56 pm
@we have it on good authority that on september 11, a legend will rise…(i_love_u_bakkiesbotha)-248: More like no one would be willing to work for SARU knowing they would have the sole backing of the head coach. Imagine one of the assistants trying to apply for the head coach job after that? It’d go down like a ton of bricks.
PdV needed to have been able to appoint his assistants from the get-go without interference, ala White.
17 Aug 2011, 15:56 pm
@ET.(ET.)-374:
Buddy, I know you have discovered a new word ‘copious’, but please spend the time to use it in the correct way. It is not possible to have a ‘copious a r s e’ or ‘copious tears’ for that matter.
17 Aug 2011, 15:56 pm
@Helen(Helen)-372:
Deluded too I witness. Post #350 was pure rugby. can you claim the same for your #352?
Co and count all your digits on your body again.
Bye!
17 Aug 2011, 15:56 pm
@we have it on good authority that on september 11, a legend will rise…(i_love_u_bakkiesbotha)-248: I would also appoint Meyer post-WC.
17 Aug 2011, 15:57 pm
should read Can and Go.@ET.(ET.)-379:
17 Aug 2011, 15:58 pm
ET is not real. It is one of those automated spam ‘users’ from Korea with a translation app to boot!
17 Aug 2011, 15:59 pm
I see ET faking up the neighberhood again. Without fail he seems to wrestle away the the title ‘Doos of the week’ from all contenders.
17 Aug 2011, 15:59 pm
@cane(cane)-373:
Sadly women make Extresticular uncomfortable.
He feels inadequate around them.
I blame his sisters for making him wear their clothes.
Added to the pressures of carrying on the armed struggle from a basement in philly on stolen internet access and we have a recipe for disaster.
17 Aug 2011, 15:59 pm
@ET.(ET.)-379:
Finally, bye ET…
we’ll miss you (like we miss a headache that suddenly disappears)
17 Aug 2011, 16:00 pm
@Gunther(gunther)-371:
Hey when Dolores dresses up in her french maid outfit, with black stockings and feather duster……………………………………………@.NZ$50.00/hour she is worth every penny.
And then some.

@KWAGGA ROBERTSE(KWAGGA ROBERTSE)-383: Spot on sweetie!
17 Aug 2011, 16:01 pm
@Helen(Helen)-382: Do you say this because he offered you price-slashed viagra and a p_enis enlargement procedure? He this this to everyone.
17 Aug 2011, 16:03 pm
@cane(cane)-386:
clean pipes and clean furniture.
is a winning combination
17 Aug 2011, 16:03 pm
@LightZone(LightZone)-370:
because its the truth. and this is not a bad thing to say. it just is.
perhaps everybody would be better off if he shouldered a bit more of the thinking work so that his assistants and two captains could be free to devote their energies to their specific tasks.
you cant fault jw on that at least.
just one look at teddy-g tells you this is a man who stays up late a lot of nights thinking really hard. jw had that no doubt, but pdv does not.
17 Aug 2011, 16:05 pm
@>^..^< katman(katman)-388: Jou span hou aan met hulle kak. As dit so aangaan gaan ek hulle MOET begin pick op SuperBru
17 Aug 2011, 16:06 pm
@Gunther(gunther)-389:
lol.
17 Aug 2011, 16:08 pm
@cane(cane)-357:
” YOU SHOW UP ” yes, with the absolute truth of #350. Reveal the non-factual.
cane(cane)-373:
Stop playing the Dummy I know you are, and compromised too.
Do you truly know the gender to the extent even that you believed your buddy Fern’s ‘death’
Is there ‘rea’ LIFE’ here in cyber?
Besides who started being offensive in 352 to my only rugby post of 350?
Keep your questionable values only to yourself for even your boy will reject some of those if not all sometime soon.
17 Aug 2011, 16:08 pm
@LightZone(LightZone)-365:
well, would you call pdv out as a man able to further enlighten through his experience?
@Michael(mikeybrass)-380:
such an under appreciated rugby brain. deserves far more than the scant praise he gets.
17 Aug 2011, 16:10 pm

You do not even understand the simple drunken headache.
Pain is a message to say damage is being done.
17 Aug 2011, 16:10 pm
@KWAGGA ROBERTSE(KWAGGA ROBERTSE)-391:
Too true.
In fact katters has a bottle of MOET on ice.
Just in case the basement dwellers achieve the unthinkable.
17 Aug 2011, 16:14 pm
@ET.(ET.)-395:
You do not even understand the simple drunken headache.
Pain is a message to say ET is here.
17 Aug 2011, 16:16 pm
@KWAGGA ROBERTSE(KWAGGA ROBERTSE)-391: Moenie. Dit sal hulle waarskynlik sink. Al wat ons aan die gang hou is die feit dat niemand iets verwag nie.
17 Aug 2011, 16:16 pm
@Gunther(gunther)-396: Problem is that currently that MOET is heading straight to the tummy in the near future if things carry on the way they are.
17 Aug 2011, 16:17 pm
@Gunther(gunther)-396: Did I say Moet? I meant Spumanté. Similar though, isn’t it?
