WP compound Pumas’ woes
26 Aug 2011
WP recorded a 24-13 win against the Pumas in Witbank.
While the victory sees WP top the Currie Cup table ahead of Saturday’s fixtures, it was the Pumas’ seventh consecutive defeat this season.
Province scored three tries in the match with winger JJ Engelbrecht and centre Johann Sadie giving the visitors an early 14-0 lead while scrumhalf Dewaldt Duvenage crossed the chalk after the break to clinch an important triumph. Flyhalf Demetri Catrakilis added three conversions and a penalty.
The Pumas scored consolation tries through scrumhalf Hendrik van der Nest and replacement flank JP Mostert.

@Tecumseh(Tecumseh)-4:
Why not? Play them into the ground and hand over two exhausted and damaged players at the end of the season.

@David(David)-5: fair enough,but we good have develop two youngsters who is still loyal to wp.on the other hand maybe we should afford the two players in question the chance of bein part of a winning team because jeez i see only dark days ahead for the bulls next season.

@Tecumseh(Tecumseh)-6:
Especially when they find out there’s a new rule forcing them to field 30% players of colour in their squad of 22. That’s when they’ll realise that they signed the wrong players.
Of course that’s just evil wishful thinking on my part.

@Tecumseh(Tecumseh)-4: Sadie lost has just been offset a little with the announcement of the return of JP Du Plessis , He already for WP U21 this weekend I believe.
