Pool B latest – Cueto set to miss opener

Keo.co.za brings you the latest World Cup news from pool A.

Cueto set to miss opener – Reports suggest the England wing Mark Cueto won’t recover from injury to play against Argentina in Dunedin.

Cueto is struggling with a recurring back injury and is expected to miss up to three matches in the tournament. England have already lost captain Lewis Moody for Saturday’s Test, and the absence of another senior player would be a significant blow.

Delon Armitage is likely to play on the wing in the event of Cueto’s absence.

Elsewhere, Richard Wigglesworth is expected to start at scrum-half despite Ben Youngs recovering from injury. James Haskell, meanwhile, is expected to fill the void left by Moody at openside flanker, with Nick Easter returning at No.8.
