WP fire after slow start

WP fire after slow start

Western Province beat the Leopards 49-21 at Newlands on Saturday.

The Potchefstroom-based side gave their more illustrious opponents a scare when they scored two early tries through scrumhalf Whestley Moolman and outside centre Charl Weideman, with flyhalf Clayton Durand kicking both conversions.

However, WP found their rhythm in the latter stages of the first half, with flanker Tertius Daniller scoring a try from turnover ball. Isma-eel Dollie then slotted his second and third penalties to give his side a 16-14 lead at the break.

Further tries from flanker Nick Fenton-Wells, winger Danie Poolman and replacement halfback Nic Groom (who came on for Dollie) extended the lead to 21 points going into the final quarter.

The Leopards scored their third try through wing Maritz Hoffman, only for WP to grab another two tries through prop Brok Harris and flanker Siya Kolisi.

Dawn, I believe that article has been moved to the Thread of Delegates. There is also a Thread of Representatives now, where Eerwaarde ET is preaching to Shaun as we speak. This tri-cameral keo is for the best, really.

Damn this druggie just puts out any, but any stink garbage. His ‘brain’ is totally and irretrievably damaged.

SACOS was never the org. that Ramsammy ever belonged too, not ever and he was nowhere in SA for all those years. SACOS operated in the country.

Ramsammy had the org. he usurped from otherrs in London ,like the Brutus brothers and others and turned Sanroc into his personal body for bargaining with the ANC.

How dsimilar is that distorted info from ” federal progressives” when the real world knows it was the Porgressive Feeral Party
Facts and accuracy does not feature in that destroyed ‘brain’.

I reckon the Boks will sneak it tomorrow especially if Wellington is as windy and wet as predicted.
Australia or AB’s to win the tourney though, their main challenge will be from England.
Will check out that site – still do not believe that there was a better scrumhalf in Saru than the bearded Richard Croy.
Yeah, old Errol did not do to badly for himself- even became mayor of some or other godforsaken place in the Overberg.

Tomorrow we will teach the Welsh coach to shut up

Looking at how the teams are doing just shows that we are not too far off the pace

England were rubbish and will again be rubbish when they face the big boys

Peter De Villiers must also be a sellout now because he is coaching a white springbok team.. these frivolous race hating garbage creeps if left to them the country would have ended in a race war like no other… thank the good lord of sweet mercy that it was real honorably men like Mandela that abridged the divide and saw past the petty hatred these pitiful little runtcunt creeps still harbor inside their despicable self infested loathing racially hating souls … Cnt’s like these are not non racist they are the absolute EPITOME of racism.. it is ALL they ever see and think and breathe day in and day out… or can you also not see past the sordid race infested charade Robzim.. how more feeble indoctrinated a race infested race hating thinker can anyone ever be..??

Tomorrow hangs around John Smit.. John Smit sets the pace and the attitude of the team when he runs on from the front.. If John Smit cannot cut it.. the rest of the team follows suit.. as it has been proven almost EVERY time he’s led them not from the front but from the bloody rear..

  • 118.Robzim: Reply to this comment

    Djokovich fighting back now
Will the legs of the veteran Federer be able to hold out?
At a much lower level of competion – will the legs of the ageing springboks be able to hold out?
    Probably not.

If Bismark were starting I’d put money on Boks creaming these welsh pastries by around 20 points… seeing as Jonny Blue Eyes is gonna be blowing his trumpet one more time in his march towards his immortalized destiny.. I get the shakes at even considering the consequences.. especially with Spiesie and FdP having to cover around the edges and behind the base of the scrum.. no Bismark.. no Bakkies … no Juan … and Danie the dinosaur dropping the ball, with Schalkie playing midfield .. its gonna be up and under heaven for the die hard 10 man protagonist … if FdP and Morne get rattled could go the way of the pastries.. though I do reckon we should have enough even carrying Smit, Spies and FdP to put them away.

    @Robzim(Robzim)-120: Strange definition of fat

Is it his bank balance fat

    Or cool phat

    Or his BMi fat

Or because he is bigger than you

Why would all these unions offer him a contract, do they maybe know more about players than you and I?

@ashampoopaloo(joel1yahoo)-122: Now if we win by 15 or more, would that be because we or good or Wales shite?

Perhaps they’re hiring off his CV with no interviews.

  • 126.ashampoopaloo: Reply to this comment

@JL1(JL1)-124: maybe a combination of both.. I reckon Boks are up for the occasion.. I think they got enough self belief… but it is imperative we score first and score early.. the longer it goes if we go behind like England did today.. we gonna make a mountain out of a welsh molehill..

Sorry been away from the laptop and attending to something that will earn points for me with my wife.

But the conditions you refer to, do they not suit the team from the muddy islands better? Not even the Stormer players can play the wet Newlands conditions these days.. The Wales backrow will out-perform the ‘Bok backrow even with Brasso there. and that is a huge plus for the dragons. It will be close.

The bearded Croy I have seen play many times. They are a big extended family and a few did cross over late . Croy was very good but nowhere near the level of C.Jabaar or my later favorite Jules Smith(vice-rector at Stellies) . Those two were the very best but in different types of games and different eras. Smith was also a brilliant leader and capt. at UWC and Tygerberg Union. he was nippy around the fringes much like Hoffman at his best. jabaar was a sh for the forward game of WP (Bo-kaap). Tobias did not even compare to Lentoor , Heemro(also FB sometimes) and others.here too their is a WP Croy who now plays in the north for Pumas or Valke.

Seems you may have the RWC final correct but I said France as my 3rd choice and 4th choice does not matter to me as whoever it is will not be in the final.

Did you see on that ABs game thread , early before the game, I said they should hope to win 45 – 13 (32 diff.) and they won 41-10 (diff. 31)?

Looking forward to see Aussies first game up tonight and then Wales -’Boks just to get a feel for where teams actually are.

if all those hard done by Sacos players were so great they would have been sorely missed… so where are they all today.. the Croy’s and the Jabaars and the Alistair Coetsee’s as well as the Valance and the Cheeky Watson’s… easy to be a hero in a non participating brand making out like Tobias was useless because he was a sell out shows only one thing which is petty personal prejudice and nothing more than that…

You welcome to your hero’s.. they may have been great and then again maybe if chucked into the deep end of hard core international rugby one wonders how many would have risen to the height of true heroism … how come so many top international class black players existed before unification then suddenly after unification only a few cut the mustard at international level? Shows your racial prejudice is rife.. because you still judge rugby players according their race first and their ability second and that only goes to prove what an outright racist you ACTUALLY ARE ! Bottom line you still living WAY in the PAST !! get with the program and Drop the mountain perched on your shoulder.. its a sickening disease called racism and its eating your sorry arse up alive.

    @ET.(ET.)-129:

The reason I said that the wet conditions will suit us better is because of our preference for the kicking game (skop and Jag to quote Grant 10) while they would prefer a faster open running game.
But you are right, they should know how to play in the wet and I also reckon the game will be close.

The WP Croy is the son of Richard- another WP reject who went via SWD (Eagles these days) to the Valke or Pumas.

I picked the AB’s by 30 on Superbru- sadly I was not so accurate with the other matches.

Yeah, Jules Smith is doing well at Stellies- the place seems to have a preference to put ex scrumhalves with academic qualifications in leadership positions- first Craven with his 3 doctorates and now Jules :)

Novak came back to win from 2 sets and 2 match points down to beat Federer
Certainly the best player in the world at the moment by a mile- very humble too.

  • 133.ashampoopaloo: Reply to this comment

Diwan Serfontein and Dawie de Villiers also ex scrummies with degrees .. and I guess if Alister Coetsee and Peter De Villiers had academic qualifications they might also have ended up as rectors at the Stellies University.

Richard Croy played Federation rugby afa i know. Played for WP also as a quota. They dropped Francois Bonthuys to accomodate their ONE coloured in the WP team in the 80′s a per the prescribed quota. They’ve since moved on to THREE.

Can you tell me who Smith’s flyhalf was when he played for Tygerberg?

Actually, both PdV and AC are qualified teachers.

Don’t know if that is enough academic qualification.
