Pool C latest – Deans shrugs off Mallett jab

Keo.co.za brings you the latest news from Pool C.
Deans shrugs off Mallett jab – Australia coach Robbie Deans refused to be drawn into a war of words with Italy coach Nick Mallett.
On Saturday Mallett said that his team are more focused on winning against Ireland than against the Wallabies in Auckland on Sunday. Asked about that assertion, Deans said: ‘Nick’s a master of pre-match mind games. He said something similar, probably even more provocative, over in Italy last year [year-end tour] and the encounter was anything but that.
‘We’re not presuming anything. Critically it’s the start to the tournament and the nature of tournament play is ‘you do or you die’. That’s what we’ve got in front of us tomorrow.’

Mallett’s smart – beating the Wallabies in on the wish-list. Beating Ireland is in the job-jar. Two different things. Like shopping for a Maserati or for a Mazda.

Mallet is an @rsehole… & I’ve had the pleasure of telling him that to his face.
Stay away from us – you creep. You will never be forgiven. Nasty piece of work.
Have your say
