Pool A latest – McCaw set for Test ton
19 Sep 2011
Keo.co.za brings you the World Cup news from Pool A.
McCaw set for Test ton – Richie McCaw is set to play his 100th Test in the All Blacks’ next group game against France on Saturday.
Skipper McCaw (calf), along with flyhalf Dan Carter (back) and fullbacks Mils Muliaina (hamstring) and Israel Dagg (abdominal strain), were all late withdrawals from the team that beat Japan 83-7 in Waikato.
McCaw, Carter and Muliaina are set to start against the Le Bleus this weekend, which will see McCaw make his 100th appearance for the All Blacks. Dagg is also expected to be available for selection.
Meanwhile, the injured Kieran Read (ankle) made an appearance at the All Blacks’ training on Monday. He was seen limping and avoided heavy practice, but managed to do individual scrumming drills. He is set to make his return against Canada on 2 October.
France want ABs scalp – Marc Lievremont stressed that France will be going all out against the All Blacks, after being told that defeat would lead to an easier route to the final.
Lievremont hasn’t named his team yet for Saturday’s clash yet but has confirmed that whichever team is picked, it will be aiming to beat the hosts.
‘What are you saying? Are you saying we should lose against the All Blacks on purpose?’ he said, after a French journalist asked if Australia’s 15-6 Pool C loss to Ireland had changed his thinking on the team to face the hosts.
‘If we lose it might be easier, but then again the All Blacks might have exactly the same assessment as us, so they might want to lose against us.
‘With matches ahead against the All Blacks and Tonga I don’t think we are going to start these games thinking we are going to lose, that certainly is not an option.’

There will be no way the ABs will mark the 100th test of Richard McCaw with a loss. Ratherbthe French should be very nervous of the up coming humiliation

Brussow is better.

I would not be surprised if the Kiwis throw this one, to avoid playing SA or Aus in the semi.
Bunch of chokers.

@willievz(willievz)-5:
We dont “throw” matches in NZ.
We leave that option for those
‘injured’
in the head.

@Black Panther(Black Panther)-8: Yes I agree 100% it was disgusting when New Zealand rested Mc Cheatt (see what I did there, makes me look cool mispelling peoples name in a zippy kind of way) and co when they played in South Africa.

@willievz(willievz)-4:
Brussow better at what??
@willievz(willievz)-5:
hahaha, yeah right.
We know how to beat SA as we have proven time and time again. OZ think they have it over us now with 2 wins out of 12 attempts.
Thing is we have to play whoever, no matter and win.
To even think of throwing a game in the RWC , you should be shot .
Dumb blogger

@heboric(heboric)-9:

@Hurricane(Hurricane)-12:
So using that logic, if you rob two banks its really bad and you are a criminal, but if you only rob one, its okay?
Both teams cocked a finger at the T3 powers. They are both equally at fault!

@Hurricane(Hurricane)-12:
Every player (bar last-min call up for Vito) that was selected for the ABs throughout the TriN was from the original 30-man squad. BIG difference.

@whatever(whatever)-13:
haha
lets put it this way.
GH said, we are going to rob the bank.
PDV said, no we didnt rob both those banks.
Pinocchio would take his wooden hat off to PDV

@Black Panther(Black Panther)-14:
Yep but in PE test, you cant say some ABs were left out to be rested.
20 Sep 2011, 05:31 am
So GH should have gone to jail, cause the jury deliberated and found that PDV did not rob the banks ………………

Hurri there is no purpose in arguing with a troll. See they play by their own rules and like to make up stuff as they go along. Problem is they get so caught up in their own lies that they start believing it….how do you fight THAT?!

@Slartibartfast(Slartibartfast)-18: okay so it okay for Kiwis to throw insults around but dare anyone tell the truth against they get all defensive and call it trolling – how typical

@heboric(heboric)-23:
Have you replyed to the wrong message.
You seem to be mixed up, especially if you think that the Kiwis are the only ones with the insults.
Looks like its a case of one eye reading…..typical
