Pool B latest – England call up Kiwi

Keo.co.za brings you World Cup news from Pool B.

England call up Kiwi – Former Crusaders No 8 Thomas Waldrom received a late call up to the England World Cup squad on Monday as a possible injury replacement for Nick Easter.

Eighthman Easter was a late withdrawal from the England team who beat Georgia on Sunday, and is now set to miss the rest of the tournament with a back injury. World Cup rules and regulations state that once a player is replaced, he may not play a part later in the campaign.

Waldrom, who qualifies through his English grandmother, will fly out to New Zealand to join up with Martin Johnson’s squad ahead of their next match against Romania this weekend.

He has not been confirmed just flow out as a precaution.

Besides they could still keep Easter and use him as Sheridan’s replacement. Though I doubt with the way Haskell is playing he would get much game time….still why could it not have been Narraway

oh yes, and Stephen Jones will be up-in-arms over this shocking display of hypocrisy, like he always is….

it will be just after the article about how the pre-match ‘hakas’ by Tonga/Samoa/Fiji should be banned.
