Duane Vermeulen is out of the June Tests. Stormers strong man Duane Vermeulen returned home from the Stormers Super Rugby tour because of injury and conservatively won't play again until July. It could be that he is out for the remainder of the Super Rugby season as well because of knee ligament damage. Stormers loose-forward Rynhardt Elstadt is also out for at least six weeks as the Cape-based franchise's season went from bad to worse in Sydney. Vermeulen, Meyer's first choice No 8, will be nursed back to action for the Rugby Championship in August. His injury means a likely Bok start ... Read Article18 May 2013

Jan Serfontein, the player of last year's under 20 World Championship, will head the baby Boks defence in France. Serfontein and Kings wing Sergeal Petersen are two Super Rugby regulars to make Dawie Theron's squad and brilliant flyhalf Handre Pollard is another to play in a second successive tournament. Theron's squad lost a three-match series 2-1 to Argentina in Argentina. Serfontein, Petersen and Western Province's Cheslin Kolbe did not play in those matches. Bulls loose forward Ruan Steenkamp is captain. Serfontein and Pollard are the only two squad members from last year's ... Read Article14 May 2013
All Blacks coach Steve Hansen has selected several uncapped Blues players in his training group. Hansen confirmed 38 names and this included many from the potent Blues backline. The Highlanders, despite only winning one match in this year's Super Rugby competition, have six players in the group. An obvious area of weakness is at hooker where Hansen has selected veterans Andrew Hore and Keven Mealamu and Canes Dane Coles. Options are limited and it certainly is a concern for New Zealanders. No overseas-based players were considered, as it is NZRFU policy. Among the uncapped players ... Read Article15 May 2013
French coach Philipe Saint-Andre has included three South African-born players for the three-Test series against the All Blacks in New Zealand. Racing Metro flank Bernard le Roux and Clermont prop Daniel Kotze join Antonie Claassen in a squad that includes eight new caps. Fijian-born Clermont winger Noa Nakaitaci is among the newcomers. Saint-Andre has rested flyhalf Francois Trinh-Duc, but included Toulon's Frederic Michalak. France play world champions New Zealand on June 8, 15 and 22 in Auckland, Hamilton and New Plymouth respectively. French super club Toulon's foreign dominance ... Read Article5 Mar 2013
MARK KEOHANE writes the Varsity Cup in its first year rocked. Since then it's just another professional tournament. The Varsity Cup may have the innovation of doing a few things differently, but what was supposed to be a celebration of student rugby somehow just seems like another tournament, in which the traditional power houses remain the traditional strengths in the tournament. Much has been made of the Port Elizabeth-based Nelson Mandela University display this season and equally there has been bewilderment at how poor Shimlas have been. But it seems the old one two of Stellenbosch University ... Read Article12 May 2013
Marcus Watson scored in extra time to beat the Blitzbokke in the London World Series Sevens Cup quarter-finals. The teams were level 14-all at full time. Watson's try came four minutes into extra time. England won 19-14. England had the chance to win the match with the last play of the game in normal time. They were awarded a penalty and opted to take a drop kick for goal. It missed. Watson then rounded off a move after England had retained possession for two minutes. South Africa suffered further embarrassment when they lost for a second time in the tournament to the USA and were eliminated ... Read Article8 Jan 2013
Limpopo will play in the Vodacom Cup as a separate side for the first time this year. The region, which is a sub-union of the Blue Bulls Rugby Union, has been granted a place in the tournament in its own rights to help foster rugby in South Africa’s far north. They join the 14 provincial unions as well as the returning Pampas XV from Argentina in the tournament, which kicks off in the second week of March and concludes in mid-May. The Polokwane-based Limpopo team will play in the North Section of the competition, along with the Blue Bulls, Golden Lions, Griffons, Leopards, Pumas, Valke ... Read Article26 Sep 2011

There once was a young tart named kitchy
Who thought it was kwaai to be bitchy
Along came a boer
Who klapped him deep in his moer
And now all his crabs are itchy.

@>^..^< katman(katman)-1050:
While your effort may be no world-beater
At least it has some rhyme and metre
Unlike the “poem” from Heavens Game
Which sadly is just weak and lame.

@Gunther(gunther)-1051:
I think I’ve told you this before
You really have become a bore
You’ll never be a decent bard
Because you tend to try too hard.
26 Sep 2011, 22:09 pm
Don’t patronise me, kitchen hand. I’ll out-limerick you 7 days a week, blindfolded.
26 Sep 2011, 22:16 pm
Kitchener was once a mate
Of an eminent twenty eight
Repeated passionate assault
Of Kitchy’s sphincter was the result
To be continued on Keo is his unfortunate fate
26 Sep 2011, 22:23 pm
@katman
With one hand tied behind your back.
26 Sep 2011, 22:24 pm
There once was a young girl called kitchener
Who had more than her share of ***** in her
Her weakness was c o c k
In fact she liked it a lot
Indeed she took as much as could fit in her.

@>^..^< katman(katman)-1054:
A chap called Kat once beat his chest
And claimed his limericks were the best
The one I saw
Was rather poor
Not sure I’d like to see the rest

Kitch – 0
Kat – 1
But mine outguns both of yours!

A wrinkly old pub bore from Brum
Thought his life was awfully glum
Barry was his name
but Kitchener he became
And ‘alright John’ became ‘old chum’

Expats and kiwi born
Pitch up daily with their gall
Then they’re joined by extraball.

Keo’s own Billy Bunting
Loves a jolly good shunting
A frightful blog bug.gery
Thru’ Keo’s digital thuggery
While tryin’ hard at Good Wil.ly hunting

There once was a fan of Lord Crouchback
Who nestled deep in the depths of his ballsack
There he would hang like a tic
On the end of his d i c k
Sometimes nudging the edge of his @ss crack.

@JockBok(JockBok)-1060:
Not quite Brum auld chum but that was a decent effort
@Dawn(Dawn)-1059:
There once was an attention-*****
Who always liked to keep the score
Every score she would choose
Saw Kitchener lose
So it’s all become a bit of a bore
26 Sep 2011, 22:44 pm
Mmmm
********?
I wonder what that could be.
26 Sep 2011, 22:46 pm
@Kitchener(Kitchener)-1064:
Enough of this anti-censorship shit! That should read “attention-whore”.
26 Sep 2011, 22:47 pm
Kitchener thinks he’s the best, I know he’s fagggit and should bothering the rest.
He trolls the web the stalker, like michael jackson the moonwalker.
I wish he would fark off to his cave because that dooos just doesn’t know how to behave.
26 Sep 2011, 22:48 pm
Though Kitchener’s on the hunt
For some rhythm and rhyming grunt
He could never be a true bard
For he tries rather too hard
At being a pommie runtcunt
26 Sep 2011, 22:51 pm
@Kitchener(Kitchener)-1064:
No? I had you down as Barry from Auf Wiedersehen Pet with the brummy accent.
When young Kitch traveled over the sea
A soldier he thought he would be
He got into a brawl
With some chaps from Natal
And yelled ‘don’t chuck that bludddy spear at me”
26 Sep 2011, 22:52 pm
And then they wonder why we despise them.
26 Sep 2011, 22:53 pm
@JockBok(JockBok)-1069:

26 Sep 2011, 22:56 pm
kitchener jou moroon. aasvoëlholvel. mense ken jou tipe.
26 Sep 2011, 22:57 pm
@JockBok(JockBok)-1069:
Jock’s first limerick was okay
But then he got carried away
The next one was crap
But I bet the poor chap
Will be posting a new one each day.
Goodnight boys and girls.
26 Sep 2011, 22:59 pm
@Dawn(Dawn)-1061:
The words from this Filly
Are rather frightfully silly
So please excuse Dawn
Keo’s own nary Prawn
While she repeats words wil.ly-nilly
26 Sep 2011, 23:00 pm
Goodnight old boy
And sweet repose
Lie on your back
And you won’t squash your nose
26 Sep 2011, 23:03 pm
I’m outa here as well, with kitchener here it became hell.
I want to hang him up by a tree but his girlfriend says no while she’s lying next to me
26 Sep 2011, 23:05 pm
@Heavens Game(Heavens Game)-1074:
HG you’re well out of line
Dawn’s words are really quite fine
She can rhyme off with the best
And she passes the test
Even after her 4th glass of wine
26 Sep 2011, 23:07 pm
@Kitchener(Kitchener)-1073: @ 1072.
the skin on your face
26 Sep 2011, 23:10 pm
@JockBok(JockBok)-1077:
Words sent once are fine
But twice should be a crime
And are an indication
Of lack of imagination
While others give new rhyme.
26 Sep 2011, 23:18 pm
Well it’s time I was hitting the sack
Kitch has gone and he ain’t coming back
Dawn and HG will fight
Grunts will of course set them right
Then ET will come on and talk kakk
26 Sep 2011, 23:19 pm
When the mentally challenged decides who owns who in the keo zoo then surely the world must be nearing it’s end.

@JockBok(JockBok)-1080:
Well Jocky my lad
Thats really too bad
Putting your head down
After being such a clown
But it was fun this little fad
26 Sep 2011, 23:36 pm
@Heavens Game(Heavens Game)-1082:
A lot of these ditties were fine
But now I have to call time
But to answer the question
Of which was the best one
Post one thousand and sixty nine
27 Sep 2011, 00:56 am
What the fark is this guy on?
27 Sep 2011, 00:57 am
Keo I mean.
27 Sep 2011, 13:39 pm
Jock
“Barry from Auf Weidersein…”
fark, that takes me back to Uni days-what a great show, and character !
That series when they moved to Spain…or was it Germany ? either way, it was genius and un-missable in our flat.
27 Sep 2011, 14:05 pm
@Black Panther(Black Panther)-1086:
It’s a classic alright, one of my faves of all time. Barry was my favourite, so fecking dull and that accent grating on and on. Comedy genius.
Germany was the first series, Spain was the second btw
