@captain fantail(captain fantail)-6: I’m not sure your insights are necessarily of a professional coaching standard. “Don’t give away penalties” is a pretty standard tactic that teams try to employ. It’s like saying “Don’t concede a goal” in football. A team’s inability to match the opposition’s quality is what leads to penalties being given away. “Give away penalties” is hardly ever a strategy I should think teams would adopt.

I’m sure you could make your “gameplan” more intelligent by adding such pearlers as “Score tries” and “Break through their defense”. Perhaps what the Boks are missing in their WC strategy is Point #8: Win The World Cup.

@Kobus Kitty(Kobus Kitty)-5: Well its not of national importance really..but the interesting bit that probably went over alot of peoples heads in the France/ NZ game was the error rate and penalties from NZ's side were the lowest in a game since I can remember. This tells me the powers to be are fully expecting a AB / Bok showdown and they have done a hugh amount of work at trying to nullify the Steyns.

@UptheGuts(UptheGuts)-3: You got a better way. Most of their games against ranked sides have been won via the boot or when they have lost the only points have been via the boot. We have shown through good defense they don't cross the line ( often enuff if at all) so keep ball in hand and don't give away penalties your 75% of the way there.

Samoa…its easy to beat the Boks…dont give away penalties within kicking distance. Hold onto the ball for the whole game and frustrate the B’Jeezuz out of them. …and get in Bakkies face so he’ll headbutt you and get sent off.
