Wilko to front Scots – Ben Youngs and Jonny Wilkinson will start at 9 and 10 for England in the do-or-die pool match on Saturday.

Courtney Lawes has been reinstated after returning from suspension, while James Haskell is favoured at No 8 ahead of Nick Easter.

Scots change six - Scotland have made six changes for their decisive clash with England in Auckland on Saturday.

Alistair Kellock returns to captain a side that shows three changes in the pack and three in the backs. Euan Murray returns to the front row in place of Geoff Cross, Kellock replaces Jim Hamilton in the second row and Richie Vernon comes in for Kelly Brown at No 8.

In the backs, Mike Blair starts at scrumhalf in place of Rory Lawson, Simon Danielli replaces Graeme Morrison with Sean Lamont switching to inside centre after playing left wing last week. Finally, Joe Ansbro returns at outside centre. Nick De Luca drops to the bench.

Scotland need to win the match by more than seven points and hope Argentina gain a four-try bonus-point in their match against Georgia on Sunday.

    Positive changes in the backline, definitely giving it a go with nothing to lose at this stage.

    Especially since da Poms only want to play with their own balls !!! If memory serves, one Mikey Atherton did a similar thing on the cricket field (sand in my pocket !)a while back and don’t even try to tell me Little Johnny did realise he was kicking another ball…….CHEATS !!!!

    Typical bl##dy Poms, changing balls to suit themselves…two coaching staff banned from the Scotland game to ENSURE they dont try cheating on the most crucial game. Glad they got caught out now…. GO SCOTLAND SEND THE NANCY BOYS PACKING!!
