Griquas finish tops in Potch

Griquas overturned a 10-5 half-time deficit into a 38-23 bonus-point win over the Leopards in Potchefstroom.

The visitors scored five tries in their much-needed triumph as lock Jaco Nepgen, No 8 Jonathan Mokuena, flyhalf Riaan Viljoen, wing Rocco Jansen and scrumhalf Sarel Pretorius crossed the chalk. But it didn’t comes easy as the hosts held a slender lead at the break after an impressive start.

Despite the individual briliance of on-loan Bulls flyhalf Wesley Dunlop, who scored a personal tally of 16 points through a try, two penalties, a drop goal and conversion, the Leopards folded in the second stanza as the Griquas rallied to victory.
