Strong team, particularly up front where they are as good as any team in the world can put out in terms of quality. I just hope they are as hopeless as they were against Tonga, but somehow I can’t see it, the Frogs will be up for this.

@Big Hit(Big Hit)-5:
France & Livriemont are rubbish. This team is more out of sorts than any other French team to ever play at WC.I dont see them posing a reasonable threat-lack fluidity,structure,cohesion etc
Parra at 10 is an abomination. Its like when they tried JB Ellissalde at 10,epic FAIL.
As average England have looked,France are pathetic really.Tonga should have ripped them to shreds. Tuilagi is going to have a field day,Mermoz & Rougerie are possibly the worst defensive pair in the RWC 2011.

Crazy thats Freddie is in SA

liefling – Agree. Freddie should definitely be in this team plus Jauzion & Chabal. Parra at flyhalf failed miserably agsint the ABs. One thing is for sure Lievremont will be out after the RWC. The French could do themsleves a favour and try and get Mallet. The man speaks fluent Frennch!!

There’s no such thing as French form … anything can happen in this match, although you would always back the Pongos to beat the Frogs in a pressure game – usually when France are really fancied
To quote the NZ Herald of a few years back, writing on a French side clobbering them in WC ’99 (who three mpnths previous had whipped them 54-7):
“There is no more dangerous side in the world than France than when they have been written off …”
