Traille in final mix
21 Oct 2011
Marc Lievremont has named the French bench for Sunday’s World Cup final at Eden Park.
Lievremont announced his starting XV on Wednesday, putting his faith in the same combinations that prevailed over Wales in the semi-final. The France coach did, however, delay the naming of the substitutes until Friday.
Damien Traille is brought onto the bench for the tournament decider in place of Cedric Heymans. Traille started at fullback when France and the All Blacks met earlier in the competition, but was pulled from the field at half-time. He hasn’t featured in the starting XV since.
France – 15. Maxime Médard, 14. Vincent Clerc, 13. Aurélien Rougerie, 12. Maxime Mermoz, 11. Alexis Palisson, 10. Morgan Parra, 9. Dimitri Yachvili, 8. Imanol Harinordoquy, 7. Julien Bonnaire, 6. Thierry Dusautoir (c), 5. Lionel Nallet, 4. Pascal Pape, 3. Nicolas Mas, 2. William Servat, 1. Jean-Baptiste Poux.
Subs: 16. Dimitri Szarzewski, 17. Fabien Barcella, 18. Julien Pierre, 19. Fulgence Ouedraogo, 20. Jean-Marc Doussain, 21. François Trinh-Duc, 22. Damien Traille

Fulgence Ouedraogo is a greatt player in making – keep an eye on him. Highlyy rated. Mas, Servant, Imanoul, Dusautoir will playy like men possesseddd!!!!. expectt frogss to battle the Chokers come lineout and scrumtimee
The frogss have the prototype looseforwardd combinationn of future sides. Lightweight, athletic and veryy much all three could play in the backlinee.
they are able to counter the brutes of Bokss, speed and aggressioinss of All Blackss.
Francee possessed will showw up for this game

sorry let me finish that
with 2 scrumhalves at 9 and 10 both kick with their left feet and a wing at center, and a wing at full back
France has no chance at winning this at all
ABs by 14 – 20 points

France need to stay in touch right into final 20. Then they could do it. If they are 10+ down early they’ll be slaugtered

So France lose to Tonga, and the score should have been much higher in Tonga’s favour
ABs beat Tonga by how much??
There can only be one result here.

@CoachPete(CoachPete)-10: Play-off maths don’t balance like that. Your point is valid and I also see only the AB victory, but never say never

@CoachPete(CoachPete)-10: the triangle theory doesn’t really work, and in that particular triangle France were all but through to the QF before they took the field v Tonga.
Have your say
