Mujati powers Saints past Wasps

Prop Brian Mujati delivered a strong performance in Northampton Saints’ 24-13 win over London Wasps on Saturday. The former Stormers tighthead conceded a penalty in an early scrum, but formed part of a dominating Saints front row thereafter. Mujati was especially powerful in the loose and at the breakdown, and scored a crucial try in the 52 minute by running through flyhalf Nicky Robinson to seal victory. 
Saffa-laden Saracens picked up their seventh consecutive win with a 23-10 triumph over Sale Sharks. There were six South Africans in the starting line-up (prop Deon Carstens, hooker Schalk Brits, lock Mouritz Botha, No 8 Ersnt Joubert, scrumhalf Neil de Kock and centre Brad Barritt) while SA-born England prop Matt Stevens came off the bench to score a try.
In the French Top 14, Racing Metro No 8 Jacques Cronje was impressive in a tight 18-12 win over Brive. Cronje toiled through the whole 80 minutes in the match that finished as a kicking contest. Toulouse eighthman Shaun Sowerby had a similar influence in his team’s 21-17 win over Perpignan, which saw Kiwi flyhalf Luke McAlister slot six penalties.
In the Pro12 (the former Celtic League), hooker Richardt Strauss and reserve prop Heinke van der Merwe’s Leinster enjoyed a 24-19 derby victory over prop Wian du Preez’s Munster.

he killed that flyhalf, barged through like he wasn’t there
this was a good game but with lots of errors from both sides. ashton didn’t look too flash at all, same with wade. ross flilipo looked good, gave wasps good go-forward ball momentum and scored a try too.

he tweeted it saying they called him a ba-boon during a scrum and the saffa players were immediately suspended and being crucified in the media and on keo but there was an investigation and it emerged that ba-boon was one of the scrum calls their team had because the words were unknown to non-saffa’s and nothing to do with him or black people at all.
they may well have had a number of animal names for their scrum calls i.e: bobejaan, spinnekop, olifant, ratel…and so on…
but he had the quickness to crucify these guys on twitter and didn’t have the decncy to apologise after the investigation proved their innocence and his wrongly jumping to conclusions based on his own sensitivities.

One of the stories when Mujati was still with WP was that his daddy was/is a ZANU-PF farm invader/war veteran. Don’t know if it is true but would explain the tendency to politicise…

Really was it necessary to bring all this political BS into this? Brian had a good game and he’s doing well over there, considered one of the best tightheads in the Premiership, more power to him.

I must say, I never really bought that whole scrum call explanation. Seems very convenient. And we all know the vitriol that was spewed towards Mujati after news broke that his dad allegedly took over a farm. There’s a definite ping on my bullshit detector.
