Baa Baas pick Bok trio

Baa Baas pick Bok trio

Victor Matfield, Bryan Habana and Adriaan Strauss have been included in the Barbarians’ 22-man squad for Saturday’s game against Australia.

The starting XV and skipper will be finalised later this week, and coach Graham Henry, who recently won the World Cup with New Zealand, has plenty of good options.

While a big name in Sonny Bill Williams has pulled out with a hamstring injury, there are still as many as five All Blacks in the squad, as well as the uncapped New Zealander Robbie Fruean.

The Baa Baas have also brought England league star Sam Tomkins into the mix. Tomkins played for England’s league side against the Australian Kangaroos in the Four Nations’ Final last week.

Barbarians squad – Sam Tomkins (England Rugby League), Bryan Habana (South Africa), Isaia Toeava (New Zealand), Robbie Fruean (Crusaders), Stirling Mortlock (Australia), Richard Kahui (New Zealand), Seru Rabeni (Fiji), Danny Cipriani (England), Peter Stringer (Ireland), Nemia Kenatale (Fiji), Keven Mealamu (New Zealand), Adriaan Strauss (South Africa), Salvatore Perugini (Italy), Sylvain Marconnet (France), Eusebio Guinazu (Argentina), Victor Matfield (South Africa), Simon Shaw (England), Marco Bortolami (Italy), Jason White (Scotland), Jerome Kaino (New Zealand), Adam Thomson (New Zealand), Mauro Bergamasco (Italy).

    Bloggers,

Just so that you all know, Plod is supporting the Baabaa’s.
This means we have someone to blame if they lose.

@au revoir mon tout noirs, au revoir…(i_love_u_bakkiesbotha)-100: give the job to heyneke and we WANT an 80% win ratio!

give him a 2 year contract and no “building for 2015″ nonsense, performance clauses to the hilt, if he can’t cut it, then he must vamos!

    @Transformation(Transformation)-102:
    agreed.
if he’s going to lose 20% of his games then it must happen soon. this can be his allowed leeway during next years four nations as he would have just started on the job and would need a bit of time to get the show going.
after that there’s to be no excuses whatsoever, the springboks must win no matter what.

I was reading through the comments from HG and Grant and couldnt help but notice the spark that was happening between the two of them, i am sure 100000000% that they were going to kiss, then stormersboy interrupted.
Then in come BH with his the Super 15 side would never make it the the Heiny cup final, yet the super 15 teams are made up of the top 3 of the best international teams in the world.

@Transformation(Transformation)-95: He was the only 10 left in the squad? Can hardly blame Jake for that. I don’t remember him trying to “spin” anything?

‘Heavens Gimp’ sure comes across as one incredibly bitter chap.
He’s obviously suffered a lot of rugby pain in the last couple of years,
hence his cowardly calls for SA to run away from their nemesis and play with the Euro bunnies. Shame on you chicken shite.
The two Euro rimmers(him and grant 10) are obviously delusional and living in some fantasy world, dreaming about sitting in some Paris cafe munching on a croissant before toddling of to watch the match….harden up gimp boys

@Transformation(Transformation)-110: I do. He embarrassed himself that day. He’s matured a lot since then though and thinks more in a team context now.

@PissAnt(PissAnt)-103: Really? What are they actually doing over there in the Province headquarters? It just seems to go from one shambles to the next these days.

I can only assume they got him at a bargain-basement price?

Spies and Olivier as captain and vice-captain, and the fact that they want Derrick Hougaard to come back seems to indicate otherwise….
