Cipriani wants England return
22 Nov 2011
Danny Cipriani hopes to make the England Six Nations squad, which would see him miss the first month of Super Rugby.
The Melbourne Rebels flyhalf has a clause in his contract that allows him to be released for international call-ups. With the Six Nations running from 4 February to 17 March , Cipriani has an outside chance of making the England squad with the recent resignation of head coach Martin Johnson. This would see him miss the Rebels’ fixtures against the Waratahs (2 March), Reds (10 March) and Cheetahs (18 March).
Under Johnson’s reign, overseas-based players were only selected in ‘exceptional circumstances’ – and Cipriani hopes to catch the attention of the new England head coach when he turns out for the Barbarians against the Wallabies this Saturday.
‘I have a long term goal in 2015 to be in that squad [for the World Cup], to be first choice 10 and to be back here in the short term and obviously play well this season. Hopefully to be that exceptional case,’ said Cipriani.

When after an entire season and scores of recent ‘one-on-one’ training sessions with one of the most successful dual-code defence coach’s in Australian history your Captain is still letting it publicly be known that he ‘still has some way to go’… you know he’s a lost cause…
From this Rebels fan he’d not be missed…

And many of the Melbourne party-scene models…
He’s equal part sublime game-breaker and defensive liability… good as a bench option in the extended season and part-time starter but even with Yoda gone… he’s a major disruption amongst the players…

Cipriani is naturally talented but a bit erratic. The poms should definitely keep in the loop as there are many talented flyhalves in England at present.

Bless him. Poor boy’s still living in the past. Massive liability at S15 level, disaster waiting to happen at International level.

Needs to prove himself in S15 before any international duty – last time i saw him in the England shirt , Ruan Pienaar gave him a lesson !!!

Well a once famous blogger named Big Hit actually has said on here a number of times that
Cipriani is better than Carter,a better runner and can kick better etc etc.
That was after his first or just before his first test.

hehehe…
define ‘famous blogger’…?
if i accept that BH said what you say he did…
BH can say it a brazillian times if he likes…
not gonna make it true…
whichever way you slice, dice and splice it…
carter’s record speaks for itself…
and so does cipriani’s…
Have your say
