Keo.co.za cleans up at awards

Keo.co.za was named the Sports Blog of the Year and won the overall prize for new media at the 2011 SAB Sports Media Awards at Melrose Arch on Tuesday night.

Mark Keohane, the founder of keo.co.za, also won the Sports Columnist of the Year award for his contributions to Business Day Sport Monthly. He was the second runner-up in the overall print category with Business Day Sport Monthly‘s Gary Lemke the first runner-up.

    agreed, some things shoud never change. i too am old fashioned in that way and can tell you i have never hit a woman or child in my life.

    i do try to say things straight to the people concerned but will admit i sometimes lose my cool and say nasty things about a whole group of people (such as kiwis) just because of one or two comments from one or two people, who happen to be from that group.

    this should never happen, period. the same goes for insulting a bloggers family and so on.

    there’s a saying which always makes me think of my mother:
    you only miss the water when the well runs dry.

    its not to say i didnt care about or miss her when she was alive but that to some extent one does’nt really consider the important people in one’s life enough and in some way you take them being around for granted, until the day you lose them forever.

    in a moment of its happening, and many times thereafter i sometimes allow myself to wonder and then it hits home….how much i trully miss the water now…

    the history of the human race is one of continual murder and destruction of some groups by others, for as long as there has been humans.
    in my opinion as wel as others it does’nt even top the list in terms of the duration in time and size of number estimate for people killed.
    try the mongol destruction of baghdad in the 1200′s for starters, or the japanese offensive against china pre, during and post ww2 also.
    or the total number of killed and casualties of the soviets too during ww2.
