Bad break for Botha
24 Dec 2011
Former Springbok and Bulls hooker Gary Botha broke his leg during Toulouse’s French Top 14 win over Montpellier on Friday.
The 30-year-old was stretchered off in the eighth minute of the defemding champions’ 45-25 win after he collapsed awkwardly in a tackle. Botha is set to be sidelined for up to four months, which will only see him return midway through the second half of Toulouse’s domestic campaign.
This will be a disappointing for Botha, who has held the first-choice hooker spot in recent weeks ahead of French team-mate William Servat. He will now join fellow Saffa front rowers Gurthro Steenkamp and Daan Human on the sidelines.
Botha made the move to France after the Bulls’ 2011 Currie Cup campaign.

I’m watching the mighty Lions moer province, as in how EJ moered Kolisi, and I just realised that this was Mossie’s last match on SA soil, what a way to go as a losing Dragon.

@Roar my Lions …. Currie Cup Champions 2011-1:
Hey, you must enjoy it while it lasts- it is nearly time for the Super 15 and then your laughter will in all likelihood turn into tears as your team will be back where it belongs- and that is in it’s familiar place right at the bottom of the super rugby log
Merry Christmas to you though, have a good time, and build up the reserves as you are going to need it during 2012 which might NOT be the year of the Cat. (with apologies to Al Steward).

Dan Human played last week against Queen’s, he wasn’t injured as I recalled

Bad luck for Gary, he certainly nudged Sevant, the France Test Hooker,
Mujati is not in Saint’s match 23 Vs Bath, can’t imagine him ever gets injured
Merry Xmas to all
