Leading SA’s rugby revolution

Leading SA’s rugby revolution

What do Francois Hougaard, Bismarck du Plessis, Gio Aplon, Johann Sadie, Andries Bekker, Pat Lambie and Juan de Jongh all have in common?

They all have the X factor, something that sets them apart from the rest.

If the Springboks are to achieve consistent success against the world champion All Blacks over the next four years, they will have to change their conservative mindset and play an expansive game when the situation demands it.

These seven players can lead South Africa’s rugby revolution and take our game to the next level.

In a thousand years…………………………………………you will not find a NZ Coach making such remarks.

i’d be more concerned about the people he’s remarking on and whether there was substance to the accusations if i were you, cane.

@cane-751: deans is a new zealander and he coaches

Sometimes if it’s the easy option
    to do something that’s already
been suggested, it’s an easy out
for them. Standing up against the
    tide is intimidating and
    challenging for an individual. You
    can understand their sentiments.
Deans has previously hinted at his
    frustration with New Zealand’s
ability to get away with minor
offences, but has stopped short of
    outwardly complaining, perhaps
due to his desire to not make
excuses for what has usually been
    a Wallabies loss against his
    homeland. But Australia’s victory
    in Hong Kong has seemingly
allowed Deans to express his true
    thoughts.
“We came off a fixture against the
All Blacks (in Hong Kong), they
    don’t scrummage,” he said. “They
    just manipulate, they play the
    referee constantly. It’s all about
trickery. Then you get across the
UK and they scrummage more so.
There are elements of trickery but
they do want to go forward with
    that trickery.”

cool stuff… always good to be with family

yeah… there will be ramifications for just about everyone unless gert smal is appointed…

i don’t think ac has been bad at province though… i don’t believe it is his fault we have failed at the final step… he has done enough to get us there four times and it is surely up to the players to get us over the line…

although there was talk of the players not being happy about the returning boks slotting in at the latter stages of the comp… which may have contributed to our implosion against the lions…

but i would not cry if ac left us for the boks either…

if that happened i would like to see a dobson/roux team take over province… they have done excellent work for uct and maties… and as many of the younger players have got into the province set-up through those teams i reckon it could work…

as long as they could handle the ‘senior’ players…

Boucher is damn lucky that his drop catch only got +20 runs but damn he must piss off now – a has-been he is dropping two easy catches within the space of only 2 hours.

Damn and now Kallis drops one.
