Shared leadership for Chiefs

The Chiefs have announced co-captains for the 2012 campaign.

Liam Messam, an occasional captain over the last three seasons, and Craig Clarke will share the duties.

The Chiefs are yet to work establish exactly how the dual roles will work but felt it was necessary given the extended format. Coach Dave Rennie said Messam and Clarke would head up a leadership core of six players.

    @stew-1:

    Messam….outstanding athlete,has everything yet has never realized his unbridled potential.Should take up a overseas contract after this season,should get a sizeable paycheck in japan joining likes of Cribb,Tiatia etc who also never reached their potential.

    Co Captains whilst nothing new in this part of the world, you have to ask yourself what is the point of this exercise.

Keo.co.za has always promoted uncensored views, but has never tolerated racist or crass outbursts. Come on guys and girls. If you can't moderate yourselves or each other then I am going to be forced to regulate the posts and enforce a registration process for comments. The choice is yours.

Have your say
