Bulls youngsters to front Kings

Frans Ludeke has included just three established Super Rugby players in his side for the pre-season hit-out in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

    Adri Jacobs? Can it be? It will be interesting to see how can Velze goes at 4.

    Players to watch from an interest point for mine…

    That SA U20 loose-forward trio including the U20 lock (better sized as a big blind-sider) in Cook… obviously JJ… see if Mastriet has improved his tackling with a year at the Bulls under his bel (that goes for Skosan too)… Adongo the Sharks let go to name just a few…

    Bulls depth looking good (on paper)…

    @stormer in a teacup-1:

    Not the Jacobs you’re thinking of…

    Interesting to see JJ Engelbrecht playing for the ’2nd-xv’. Would’ve thought he’d be a sure thing for the first-side alongside Basson.

    @stormer in a teacup-1:
    Van Velze played in that position during the Currie Cup and probably has been identify as Bakkies replacement with similar traits as the enforcer. IMO I think he is a better No.8 the lock he is going to have to work hard on his line out game if wants to become a 1st choice lock at Bulls. Luckily for him Big Vic is there.

    Hope CJ Stander has a good hit out…, and from a tactical kicking perspective – Lionel Cronje’s left foot at 12 could be the perfect foil to Morne’s trusted right at 10.
    Would like the backs shaping up;
    9. Hougaard
    10. Steyn
    11. Basson
    12. Cronje
    13. Sadie
    14. JJ
    15. Kirchner
