The Bulls beat the Kings 16-12 in a warm-up match in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.
Flyhalf Louis Fouche opened the scoring for the visitors with a drop goal, and tries from Jean Cook and Sampie Mastriet allowed the Bulls to build a commanding 13-0 lead.
The Kings may have sensed an opportunity when Cook was sin-binned toward the end of the first half, and hit back with a try of their own. However, the Bulls still managed to add another three points and finish the first stanza with a 16-7 advantage.
The Kings scored the only points of the second half but failed to eclipse the Bulls’ score.
