Reds cruise past Brumbies
11 Feb 2012
The Reds scored four tries in their 27-20 win over the Brumbies in Cairns.
The Super Rugby defending champions led 17-12 as centre Ben Tapuai and wing Chris Feauai-Sautia dotted down for tries. Scrumhalf Nick White converted four of his six penalty attempts to keep the Brumbies within reach at half-time.
The Reds brought on their Wallabies in the second stanza and held the ascendancy for most of the half. Squad skipper James Horwill and wing Digby Ioane crossed the chalk to seal the win. The Brumbies grabbed their only try through flanker Michael Hooper.

@SHARKattack-2: don’t think there will be too many Saffa supporters for this Brumbies team. No sympathy for Mr White I’d think.

I hope Jake does well but I certainly won’t be willing the Brumbies on to win. I hope my Sharks thrash them.

Come on Brumbies. Once the boys have got their combinations worked out I’m sure they’ll come back in fine style.
Have your say
