Turner out for six months

Waratahs wing Lachie Turner will miss the entire Super Rugby competition after tearing his hamstring in a warm-up match.

The Waratahs confirmed the severity of Turner’s injury on Monday. Turner will undergo surgery on Wednesday to have the hamstring reattached, and then face a lengthy lay-off that will preclude him from the Wallabies’ Tests in June.

The Waratahs will play another warm-up game against Tonga this Friday. Prop Benn Robinson, No 8 Wycliff Palu and utility back Adam Ashley-Cooper are all available and should feature in this match.
