Tigers steal late win
19 Feb 2012
The Leicester Tigers ended Saracens’ unbeaten home run in the Premiership, winning 20-19 thanks to a last-gasp Geordan Murphy drop goal.
Murphy banked the winner after a 26-phase move to snap a winning streak at Vicarage Road that dates back to October 2010. Despite the defeat, Saracens hooker Schalk Brits was outstanding, creating a try for his countryman Neil de Kock with a deft offload and contributing in all facets of his game.
Saracens dominated the early exchanges but Leicester stayed in touch with a series of penalties, Toby Flood trading three pointers with Saracens’ Alex Goode.
The Tigers scored late in the piece but Goode had the opportunity to end the contest in the 75th minute with a penalty which he pushed wide. The visitors then produced a patient attack to set up the drop goal.

So where was blue eyed Johnny boy Smittykins, hoping to be sucking up the plaudits from the commentary box?

I was at the game and John Smit played prop again and clearly struggled. Was subbed just after half-time. He was also captain…
Great game though, pity Sarries lost…but think Leicester deserved it in the end.

John Smit the most overrated prop-hooker-captain that this country has ever produced.. how these defunct dumbass dimwits ever thought they were going to win a back to back WC carrying this overrated self centered palooka has been around their necks was downright deliriously decimating and living in day dream denial driven delusions..
and now Saracens fall for the same f’up delusions
Biggest f’ng hoax carrying that can of overrated lard hoping it was gonna produce any dividends.. end result was played 13 lost 11 through 2010-2011 under his non existent overrated aura riddled lack of leadership

2011 Heineken Cup… Saracens win one game and lose the rest and are sent home packing before the play-offs…
2012 Heineken Cup… with legend captain John Smit they are straight into the 1/4 finals for the first time in 4 years…
Enough said!

Leicester were down to their 4th choice front row because of international call ups and injuries. You would have thought John Smit would finally have a chance to look decent at scrum time wouldn’t you? No he got absolutely destroyed by a Billy Ray Cyrus lookalike! Its an absolute disgrace to international rugby that he played so many games at prop for one of the best scrummaging teams in the world. I can’t help but think if Australia were not one of the Boks main opponents, this would never have been allowed to happen….

if Saracens can’t or won’t see the reality staring them down that this hybrid hooker-prop is a washed out has been then they gonna go down same way as Boks went down carrying the lord muck on toast. Because Watson captained Bath, so Smit gotta captain Saracens and go one better. Except Smit can’t hold down a proper position for 80 minutes,so who they trying to kid-

@ashampoopaloo(joel1yahoo)-7:
With Watson as Captain… Bath ended up one place further down the ladder than when he was not there…
With the legend Smit as Captain… Saracens went from not qualifying for the Heinekin Cup straight into the 1/4 finals…
Enough said…
