Les Bleus suffer Medard blow

Fullback Maxime Medard will miss France’s postponed Six Nations fixture against Ireland on Sunday.

Medard picked up a knee injury in France’s 21-17 win over Scotland in Edinburgh last weekend, and will now miss the clash in Paris. Toulouse’s Clement Poitrenaud is expected to start in the No 15 jersey against Ireland.

Coach Philippe Saint-Andre will name his match 22 on Wednesday.
