Ireland slay Scotland

Ireland scored four tries in their 32-14 win against Scotland on Saturday.

Scotland managed to stay in touch with the hosts for much of the first half, trailing just 10-9 after 32 minutes. But it was in that period before half-time that Ireland took the game away from the Scots, scoring tries through Eoin Reddan and Andrew Trimble.

Neither side managed to score in the second stanza until Jonny Sexton kicked a penalty in the 72nd minute to extend Ireland’s lead to 10 points. The hosts then finished the match on a try-scoring note, with Fergus McFadden crashing over from close range.
