CUT demolished UWC 73-8 while Wits beat UKZN 21-12 in the eighth round of the Varsity Shield.

In Bloemfontein, defending champions CUT enjoyed a 10-try thumping of UWC, who won the first-round clash 37-23 in Bellville. Wing Alec Mhlanga and skipper Inus Kritzinger scored a brace each in the one-sided contest.

In Johannesburg, Wits fought back from an 8-2 half-time deficit to down UKZN.

    No UWC how could this happen?!? You guys must progress to the Varsity Cup man! How does the log look for the Varsity Shield?
